We absolutely loved this house! It is the perfect mix of cabin charm and modern convenience. We had two questions during our stay and the hosts were incredibly fast with their responses! Perfect size for 4 adults and 4 children. The only thing nicer than the inside of the house was the outside! Property is surrounded by pine trees and held the fresh falling snow creating a beautiful and relaxing spot to sit next to the fire and enjoy a few drinks after a long day on the mountain. We stayed in February for skiing. It’s 7 minutes to king pine ski area. Our families are already looking forward to next season. Home and hosts are everything you could ask for on a mountain vacation! Our families loved it and I guarantee yours will too!

We had a great time at the Cozy Cabin! We were there for a wedding, 5 minutes away, so it was very convenient. Everything was clean. The kitchen and bathrooms were well equipped for our needs. Check in and check out was easy and straight forward!

The Cozy Cabin — Our Ideal Slice of Civilization in the Forest

So many good things to say about The Cozy Cabin, from moment I pulled car in. Easy to find, just far enough off main road, all the modern conveniences needed for our fall stay. Thoughtful welcome basket, comfy beds, well-appointed bathrooms, kitchen we cooked in each night, comfy couch and chairs...blankets, pillows, smart TV with all the scary Halloween films we needed. Kitchen fridge and cupboards stocked with all spices, condiments, and more; no need to buy the little bottle of olive oil, mustard, etc., for our meals. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate...whatever's needed to start or finish your day. So much more, too. Fresh towels in quantity, all the other items you need for a good hot shower: shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, hair dryer, and again more. Quality washer and dryer, detergent and dryer sheets...we left with suitcases full of clean clothes. Didn't get to use the Beach Club, or the kayaks as it was a bit cold. PFDs were right there in the basement, though. Area is remote, as we expected. My adult daughter was teaching at a middle-school camp on Lake Ossipee, a five-minute drive from the cabin to her parking lot. A bit further is my new favorite dessert spot, Eldridge Family Sugar House & Ice Cream Shoppe...Maple Soft-Serve Ice Cream! A must, any time of year IMO. Host communication great from booking, pre-arrival, during stay, and departure. Truly can't wait for the opportunity to return...ideally during maple syrup season. Thank you for hosting us!

We had a great time there. They had the place stocked. The only thing we couldn't find was pot holders/ oven mitts. We lit a fire almost every night. The two bathrooms were essential and nice. Lots of trails and the beach isn't far too walk. Anybody who comes here should go to Meredith for thesculpture walk solution

Nice place but…

We booked this bc it said the place had AC. There was one floor unit AC probably only big enough for a bedroom which did not cool the entire house. We understand it’s not usually that hot in the mountains - ended up having a heat wave the week we booked it for - but our youngest has asthma and being in that kind of heat makes it difficult, which is why we chose a place that we thought had sufficient AC. They could not get to us to bring anymore AC units so we cut our stay short by two days and headed home bc the house was 85*! They did refund us the two days and were very nice about it. Nice place other than that and the carpenter ants that kept showing up in the downstairs windows & slider. Just wish they would have had actual AC and taken care of the carpenter ants and we would have had a great time otherwise.

A good stay overall!

The cottage was very convenient to a horseback riding clinic at Freedom Farm... We were pooped at the end of the day and found the cottage restful and comfortable for the most part. The beds were a bit too soft for our taste and we had to hunt for the toilet paper holder (it was on a shelf nearly behind one). These were minor issues. A good option especially for a family... we didn't take advantage of the loft beds or the well outfitted basement, but a family would. Also, the proximity to the lake was not too helpful in late fall!

Amazing weekend

We stayed at cozy cabin for a wedding weekend and had many laughs and good times. The hosts Mark and Karen weee such a pleasure to work with. They tried to make the experience warm and welcoming and they certainly achieved that. Upon arriving there was an easy keyless entry. When inside we were welcomed with a beautiful basket with wine, jam, and chocolates. I would truly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great getaway. We hope to be able to stay again sometime.

Great lake getaway

The Cozy Cabin is a great little spot near Ossipee Lake. The bedrooms and loft are very comfortable, the toys upstairs were a hit, and the outdoor fire pit was great. We love the area, and we’d definitely rent here again.

Great for the family

We stayed 5 nights with our 3 kids (16, 15 and 12) and had a great time. Loft area is spacious with two bedrooms on main floor, just like the description. (There are toys and a play area in the loft- but the stairs can’t be blocked off for young children.) There are also some games in the basement along with the bigger bathroom and laundry. Lake access was clutch- very close to property and has bathrooms, a large sandy area with lots of picnic tables and a dock in the swim area. There is a marina very close and we rented a boat for the day too.

So cozy

Arrived here with family and friends, and were pleasantly surprised. Pictures don’t do it justice. It was cozy without feeling cramped, very well decorated and appointed very clean, beds were comfortable. It was easy to check in. Loved listening to the whispering Pines in the wind. Got a love New Hampshire and this was a great way to do it. Highly recommend. Thank you so much for sharing!
