Get ready for your special event, relax or enjoy a glass of wine outdoors in the heart of Fredericksburg’s historic shopping district just 1.5 blocks off Main! Fritzie at Town Creek began as a 19th century German stone home and has been thoughtfully expanded and modernized into a large, luxurious and charming home by one of our local custom builders. Whether you are getting ready for your big day, a night out on Main or relaxing after your wine country tour, you will be happy you chose Fritzie!



The Space:

Our open floor plan main home hosts five bedrooms and a fully stocked chef’s kitchen complete with “sonic” ice maker and gas range. One of two master bedrooms, the downstairs master is ADA accessible and opens to an Ipe wood screened-in porch that spans the length of the home. The upstairs master includes a Juliet balcony and an attached office/workspace that can be used as an extra vanity area perfect for your group stay. Our air conditioned indoor/outdoor game room and upstairs apartment are located in the guest house which is connected to the main by a covered breezeway. Fritzie’s secluded outdoor oasis overlooking Town Creek boasts a large pool, sun deck with high end lounge and dining furniture, covered outdoor dining area and gas fire pit seating area. The entire property is blanketed by a Sonos speaker system you can control with a touch of your favorite smart device.

Not a great experience

Had issues upon arrival, from AC unit not working, Pool not clean, nor working properly. Patio/Yard had rat nest. Audio system did not work except in main bedroom. Did not get to sit by the pool and listening to music. Tried to work the issues out with owner, but after two days of back in forth, the owner rep ghosted us. The property has great potential, but beware. Specially would not swim in pool.

Great Place

Property was just as described, everything was spelled out as to what to expect and what was expected of us. We stay in VRBO’s several times a year and this was one of the best. Would definitely recommend it and would rebook if same type of trip is planned again!!

Beware: home is not as advertised

I would not recommend renting this house. We arrived at the home to stay with 4 other couples only to find rodent droppings everywhere including the kitchen counters, bedrooms and bathrooms. The home didn't appear as though it had been thoroughly cleaned as there were thick layers of dirt all over the screened in porch and its furniture, the outdoor furniture and bbq area. The 2 bbq's were in poor condition with one being completely unusable. The pictures on the posting are not as the house currently appears. It was apparent that the rodent was still active as we would wake up to fresh droppings daily. We expressed our disgust and frustration and the only response was to "try" to get pest control out and to offer to have their cleaners come the next day. At this point we had already cleaned the whole home to make it sanitary enough to stay in. Given that we had a total of 10 people who had all paid for the use of this home we didn't have any option but to stay there as there would've been a significant cost to re-house a group of this size. Had requested the pool to be heated in advance which didn't happen until the day before we left. Asked that we be reimbursed for half of our cost due to the unsanitary conditions of the house which the owner agreed to but we never received. Please beware if you are considering renting this house. It was an incredibly disappointing experience.

College girls 28th reunion trip

Loved loved the property and it was perfect for the 11 of us! Only downfall was that the fire pit did not work and that was disappointing. We contacted the management, they quickly gave additional instructions, but it still did not work. Weather was beautiful. Loved having multiple places to socialize.

great location but needs updated pictures

from arrival the check in process was easy, im not the biggest fan of a “virtual check in guide” typically in past homes we’ve stayed at we get an email of steps and a welcome basket of how to work everything in the home. i had to skim through the virtual guide to figure out how to work most of the things in the home. overall the home is nice, the first level is the nicest of the home. it is an older home that has been redecorated. i feel that the pictures on the website should be updated to more recent pictures of i guess less “edited pictures”. The separate “guest house” was definitely not finished in the slightest and i’m glad we had enough room to where no one had to sleep out there and i felt that part wasn’t communicated. overall the location of the home is great and the first level is very nice. we did pay for the pool to be heated which it wasn’t upon arrival, i feel there should be a little more honesty in the description of the home but if you are looking for a place to fit a large family bc of the location we would possibly stay again

Great Girls Getaway!

Several girls from high school started getting together once a year about 10 years ago. We spent our 2022 weekend in Fredricksburg. The location of Fritzie was perfect as it was close to Main Street and many great restaurants. The house was fabulous too with everything we needed for a great weekend - table for playing cards, pool, ping pong and a big kitchen. We had a wonderful time.

Beautiful weekend

We spent a very enjoyable weekend at this lovely property located about 1 1/2 blocks for main street in Fredericksburg. The owner has kept the property in very good condition and everything worked properly. We had 11 in our family and spent a birthday weekend celebrating my wife's special day. The home is on a large lot and well laid out. It has lots of TV's with cable and an excellent sound system. The kitchen has everything we needed. Refrigerator is spacious and there are 2 coffee makers. Underneath the coffee makers are 2 drawers which are pull out freezers. Beds are comfortable. I would highly recommend this property for rental.

Wonderful home

The house was wonderful. Wonderful appointed bedrooms and bathrooms, great kitchen to cook in. Highly recommend it. The property manager was very pleasant to deal with. We had a great stay and hope to return!

The experience for renting and communication was easy and wonderful. The backyard was AMAZING! Needs some grooming in the front for curb appeal for first impression.
