Butterfly Cottage is a charming, conveniently located classic Fredericksburg cottage. Complete with original gingerbread trim, a spacious landscaped yard with a gazebo, and a full kitchen, this cottage is the perfect place for friends or family. Inside the home you will find two queen bedrooms, each with their own bath. The home features a living room and a parlor, with plenty of seating. The outdoor space is landscaped in keeping with traditions of old Fredericksburg, and the location provides unbeatable privacy, while still offering proximity to Main St.

For those looking to experience a taste of true small town life, Butterfly Cottage is the place for you.

- Quiet Time is from 10:00 pm to 7:00 am, per City Ordinance
- If we are called due to complaints violating Quiet Time:
1st Offense will result in a $250 fine.
2nd Offense will result in a $500 fine.
If police are called, you are responsible for any fines or fees issued with the citation or warning. If police are called there will be a $500 fine, even if no citation is issued.

​​​​​Due to the Hill Country location of our rentals, you may encounter wildlife (Snakes, Deer, Raccoons, Squirrels, Possum, Birds (including Hawks), ETC). Please be aware of your surroundings, take caution while driving at night, and supervise your children at all times while they are outdoors. In addition, all properties do utilize pest control services on a regular basis BUT this does not guarantee pests or bugs will not be visible. This includes but is not limited to: ants, snakes, spiders, scorpions, beetles/roaches/water-bugs, mice, or flies.

Cute and charming sums it up.

My wife loved all of the antiques and furnishings. The cottage provides surprising amount of space with two separate indoor living areas with plenty of seating for all. (Big plus). In addition there is lots of seating/living space outside! Close to town but not a lot of traffic. Systems heat/cool, showers all worked great. Check-in/out was seamless. Was there for 6 days. Great stay - would not hesitate to stay there again.

Terrific

A very adorable place to stay especially at Christmas. It was decorated to the hilt which was set off by the antiques, fireplace, and greenhouse. The exterior was very guest friendly.

The house was adorable, well kept, and charming. With ample outdoor space, multiple sitting areas and great porches. The bonus was the carport and long private drive for parking. Loved the great central heat and hot water. The greenhouse out the master bath window was such a beautiful amenity. Loved our stay.

Lovely quaint home on a quiet street

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely home! We loved the decor and there was plenty of space. We were able to easily find the house and we were able to get into town with only a few minutes drive.

Loved the vintage charm of this home. Just off the Main Street. Walkable for some but a quick drive for those who don’t want to walk. Comfortable beds. Loved the clawfoot tub. Loved the 2 living areas. Gazebo is great for morning coffee❤️

Super Charming Home

A really beautiful home overflowing with charm. Had just about everything you need to make it a comfy stay. The beds/couches were extremely comfy, soft, and clean, and the bathrooms were also very clean and well stocked. We had a small pet and he enjoyed the yard and quietness of the house. The location is walkable to Main street, but the touristy area is a very long walk so it was much easier to drive there. The neighbors were slightly noisy, but not enough to be an issue and you can't hear them inside the house at all. Also, the back neighbor (not the noisy one) flies a good-sized confederate flag. It's mostly obscured by trees and a good distance away. Check In and Check Out were hassle free, which is always appreciated.

Great Place

My cousin and I thoroughly enjoyed our girls’ weekend. Beds were comfy with nice sheets. We had an issue with the TV and the property manager came out in the cold and dark and fixed it for us. She even built us a fire while she was there. Would stay there again. Thanks!

Fredericksburg Labor Day 2023

Lots of space, comfy beds. Two full bedrooms and bathrooms was very nice to have. Process was easy start to finish. We weren’t there much but it has enough space to really enjoy with friends/family if you wanted a longer stay. Middle of summer in Texas and the temperature inside was very comfortable and didn’t seem to fluctuate.

Nice quiet stay in a great location

The house was offset from the Main Street, giving us a quiet stay, but in walking distance to the downtown restaurants. We walked into town every day, it was fantastic. Would stay there again.

50s Girls Trip

The property was great. Everything was within super short driving distance. Would have walked it, but there was a small section that was out of the busy part of town which made us nervous since it was just 2 ladies. But it wasclose enough to walk to everything in town.

This house made the visit for us! The minute my son and I walked through the door, we looked at each other and said this feels like Grandma's house. Clean cozy and comfortable We will be going back to this house next time we go to Fredericksburg!

Cousins Trip

This property is so well kept, clean, comfortable and met our needs perfectly. It is located off Main Street and several blocks away from downtown. So you’ll need to drive and park when shopping. The neighborhood is quaint and quiet. Outside is very picturesque and has several different sitting areas. We enjoyed our stay immensely and would definitely stay there again.
