Emberwood Lodge is an ultra luxe 7,000 square foot cabin offering accommodations to those that expect the absolute finest in amenities. We are one of only a couple homes in the area to be included in Homeaway's Luxury Portfolio. This property is very popular for family reunions and corporate retreats. Emberwood is among the largest private rentals in Winter Park, offering comfortable capacity for up to 36 guests in beds. Luxuriously furnished you will find the property to be inviting and relaxing.

Emberwood offers grand entertaining spaces such as the great room with soaring ceilings, breath taking views of Byers Peak, and a dining table for 16 (plus space at the island, outdoor table and game table). An additional living room with barnwood ceilings and its own fireplace allows large groups the opportunity to spread out. A total of four decks one with a large hot tub, all with spectacular views affords plenty of outdoor living space.
A second kitchen also allows groups such as family reunions flexibility in dining. The home features a total of 9 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms, Two kitchens, a Great Room & Dining Area, Living Room, and a Game/Media Room. The basement bunk room offers 7 built in queen size bunk beds, a rec area, pinball and Foosball.


Located on a hillside above the Fraser River with unobstructed views of Byer's Peak the setting is as beautiful as it is convenient. The Safeway grocery store is located less than a mile down the street, and the free shuttle picks up about a 400 yards from the home with frequent access to Fraser, The Town of Winter Park and the Ski Resort.


Access to the Meadows Club is included. The Meadows Club includes a year round heated pool (it's 86 degrees- my kids were swimming in it when it was below zero outside) with amazing views. An outdoor hot tub (we also have our own hot tub on the lower deck of the Lodge side). The Meadows Club includes workout equipment, treadmill, etc. indoor racquetball, indoor basketball, a game area and sauna as well as an outdoor seasonal tennis courts. Please note that use of the Meadows Club should be limited to about six or eight guests at a time...do not overwhelm them with 36 people at once.
A free shuttle offers quick access to downtown Winter Park and the ski resort. Amtrak train service and rental cars are available, making it possible to fly into DIA and take the train to the property.
Everyone knows winter is incredible (skiing, cross country, snowmobiling, sledding, ice skating, hot tubs and much more) but summer is actually our most popular time. The home will be booked almost every day each summer (lots of family reunions). This is one of the few homes that has central air conditioning (three separate furnace/AC units); some people say you don't need A/C in the mountains, but you really do in July and August. We are at the western base of Rocky Mountain National Park (about 39 minutes to the park gates) withe some of the most amazing views and endless hikes for all abilities. Grand Lake is about 30 minutes way.There is river tubing just down the street in the Fraser River. White Water Rafting is a little farther drive, but they they do pickup in town. There are tons of mountain biking trails (and places to rent bikes are everywhere) including downhill trails where you take the lift up and ride down. Nearby YMCA Snow Mountain ranch is lots of fun with horseback riding, summer sledding hill, archery, rock climbing, roller skating, craft cabin, etc. Check out the bowling alley and movie theater in Winter Park. There are weekly outdoor concerts and other festivals in Winter Park. In Fraser there is a new high ropes obstacle course (older kids, teens and adults), alpine sledding, jumpers and other attractions are at the ski area. We have an outdoor heated pool, hot tub, tennis courts basketball courts and gym that we belong to and guests may use in our neighborhood. Note that we are located in Fraser which is adjacent to Winter Park. Winter Park is a few minute drive away and there is a free shuttle as well as a trail leading from our neighborhood along the river to Winter Park. There are tons of great restaurants and the Safeway grocery store is less than a mile from our cabin.

Bed 1: 1 King with ensuite master 5 piece bath including jetted tub, and multi-head luxury shower
Bed 2: 1 King with attached full bath (bathroom is also shared for great room guests). This bedroom doesn't have a window.
Bed 3: 1 King with attached full jack and jill bath. (this bedroom also opens to deck with hot tub)
Bed 4: Two full beds with attached full jack and jill bath. (this bedroom also opens to deck with hot tub)
Bed 5: 1 King with ensuite full bathroom
Bed 6: 1 Queen with access to a full bathroom in hallway
Bed 7: 1 Queen *small* room at top of spiral staircase. Not for very young kids or elderly.
Bed 8: 1 Queen *small* room at top of spiral staircase. Not for very young kids or elderly.
Bed 9: Large Bunk room with seven built in barnwood style Queen size bunk beds. Bathroom with separate double sink and tub shower and toilet.
Queen sofa sleeper in the bunk room and also in the Cottage side living room.
TOTAL: 4 King Beds, 3 Queen beds, 7 Queen bunk beds, 2 Full Beds, 2 Queen sleeper sofas.
**Sleeping capacity of 36 is achieved with families traveling with children. This is not a "party" house and 36 adults is really too many.
There is a large one car heated garage (fits a full size Suburban) included. (The second garage is locked and used by the owners).

Standard Non-Holiday Rates:
$1800 for weeknights
$2200 for Friday and Saturday nights
Typically there is a two night minimum except during holiday periods and summer months. For June-August we usually require a five night stay unless there is already a gap in our schedule (just ask).
We do not allow weddings and special events at the property where there will be guests in attendance in excess of 36 people (our maximum occupancy).
Please note that we do not allow cooking with curry in the home (or anything else that will leave an odor after cleaning). Unfortunately, the odor just doesn't go away and impacts future guests. We also have a very strict no smoking policy (including in the home and on the decks).
