Please Crate your pet if left unattended in the house and clean up after them. Plastic bags are supplied in the pantry for waste disposal.
The basement is reserved for maintenance personnel and is used for storage of supplies. Please do not attempt to enter the basement area.
All guests must shower BEFORE getting into the hot tub. If the filters are found to have damage you will be charged a $50 fee for replacements

We really loved this house and it was perfect for our group (family of 5 and 2 grandparents). The house was very well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. We also loved how secluded the house was in the country, but also not too far away from anything! Great place to stay! If we ever came back to the area, we would stay again!

KY Trip!

My friend and I came out to stay to enjoy the Kentucky Renaissance fair and additionally got to stay in this beautiful home! While slightly less secluded than anticipated, we had an amazing time, enjoyed the gorgeous scenery, and loved the space!

Perfect for Bourbon Weekend!

Great location near several distilleries, and only an hour to Louisville. Very clean with everything we needed, and the one barn cat was a darling! We would stay again!

This is a lovely home

We were very pleased with the property. As described, comfortable and well stocked. However, while showering, I slipped and took a hard fall, fracturing my clavicle. So we had to head home early. The tub was very slippery! We even put a tub mat down but it wasn't enough. Owner was not at all sympathetic. Only refunded the two nights we paid for but didn't use after an ER report and after I requested it. Just be very careful when using the shower!

Great location to make Frankfort Bourbon Tastings and Golfing in Lexington, Louisville and even Indianna possible. Hope to make it back and will definitely consider this Hillsode Haven again

Tranquil and relaxing

Loved the house. Had plenty of room for us to relax. The property and neighboring homes were quiet so you can relax and enjoy the natural setting. Also if you’re in the hiking there is a park called Cove Spring Park which is a short drive from this property. The park has several different trails with different degrees of difficulty but most families can find a trail that suits them. Beautiful waterfalls and natural scenery

Clean, comfortable, peaceful and quiet

We all enjoyed the deck shade and country quiet. The tv and wifi worked great. We each got our own bed and the 11yr old learned to climb a ladder...bunk bed...and build a fire in the pit. There were only a couple things we missed (dish cloths and large skillet). And one thing we could do without (ticks outside). I would stay here again in a heartbeat. The quiet...the quiet!

Heavenly

The scenery and setting of this home is heavenly. I spent most of our visit on the patio. The house was also very nice and had everything we needed. It was a perfect getaway and I will definitely want to go back. And Buffalo Trace and historic Frankfort were a close drive as well as Cove Spring Park which had great hiking. Thanks for a getaway spot I didnt want to leave.

What a great place.

The property is beautiful, the house is modernized and clean. The barn cat is super cute too. We named it bandit. We plan to bookmark this place if we choose to come to the area again. Only, very minor issue the doors could stand some wd40 they are squeaky.

Family Bourbon trip!

Loved the place, so relaxing.. loved being able to sit out back enjoyed the fire make s’mores and make memories. The house was exactly what we needed except maybe another bathroom.. lol… we had to set a bathroom schedule… the house was just perfect! So close to the best distilleries Buffalo trace/ woodford reserve and castle key! Would highly recommend this place.. thanks

We stayed 4 nights here and loved our stay. The only drawbacks are the lack of privacy, the rooms are right on top of each other. The only bathroom is attached to the master bathroom. The place was very clean, very easy checkout process, the manager communicated very well with me the whole time we were there. We enjoyed the bonfire almost nightly! Would love to go back!
