Beautiful views from this direct water/lakefront home on Fox Lake. This house sits high up on the lake with unmatched views of the Chain O'Lakes. Access on the property to water and boat pier. Large double deck directly on the property and lake. Boating, swimming, beach, jet skiing, kayaking, canoeing, and more. Newly remodeled. Large screened in porch and newly paved driveway. White kitchen with stainless steel appliances. 2 bedrooms and a pull out couch in the downstairs living area. 1 1/2 bathrooms. Upstairs and downstairs TV's with wi-fi. 2 fireplaces in both levels. Large built in bar with games and dart board. Washer/dryer. Large deck overlooking Fox Lake with furniture and grill. Downstairs patio overlooking Fox Lake. Large double tiered deck located lakeside. Close to downtown Fox Lake, trains, restaurants, and shopping and more. Nearby beaches, marinas, Blarney's Island, Volo Auto Museum, roller skating , movie theater, horseback riding, farmers market, pumpkin patches, apple picking, walking trails, nearby parks and nature areas, and more. Winter time adds snowmobiling, tubing, and skiing at nearby Wilmont Mountain Ski Resort. Lake Geneva is a 30 minute drive. Rent a boat or bring your own. Launch is closeby. Tie up to our 40 ft. private pier on the property.
The house also has outdoor security cameras at the front door as well as back lower door and back outdoor walkway to provide added protection as well as to check for arrivals and departures for housekeeping and maintenance services. While these cameras do add "security" please note that they are only outdoors and NOT monitored. We are pet friendly with an additional daily charge.

We had a wonderful weekend getaway at Cora Cottage with my husband, mother-in-law, and our two dogs. The home was spotless, well-equipped, and perfectly situated with beautiful views of Fox Lake. Everything you need for a relaxing stay. The host had excellent communication, responded quickly. The checkout process was very easy — the entire experience was seamless.There are upper and lower porches — we especially loved the upper porch with its comfortable seating, gas grill and unobstructed views. The main floor features a small galley-style kitchen, open-concept dining area and living room with a cozy wood fireplace, plus two bedrooms and a full bath. Downstairs, there’s a family room with a second TV, gas fireplace, bar area, half bath, laundry, and access to the covered lower porch and backyard. The property is waterfront, with a third deck over the water and a 40-foot dock where guests with boats can tie up.The backyard/dock are easiest to reach from the lower level, though there’s also a side path for those who prefer to avoid the VERY tight spiral staircase between floors. Our dogs couldn’t safely navigate the stairs, so we took them for walks around the quiet neighborhood instead. My mother-in-law also found the stairs challenging, so small children or anyone with mobility issues would definitely need supervision.Overall, a peaceful, charming spot — we’d absolutely visit again!

Gorgeous retreat with multiple comfy and clear views of the lake, large trees, and bird songs for nature lovers but all the comforts of town within a few minutes. Hosts were responsive and had everything we needed when we realized we’d forgotten our own (wine opener, hair dryer, etc.). Would definitely stay again!

Check in was super easy! House was cleaned and looked just like the picture. Beds were super comfortable. The house was very roomy and warming. The upper deck was nice and the view of the lake was beautiful! We brought our pontoon boat and docked it at their pier and that made it more fun! Overall, our stay was very nice and I'd definitely stay there again!! The hosts were very fast with responding.

Normally a great location, but currently too noisy

The house was quite nice, and the view was perfect. However, I was unaware that the neighboring lot was an *active* construction site. The first day was pretty manageable, with constant nail guns in the background and the intermittent buzz of chop saws. Occasionally, sawdust would float down on us while we were chatting on the patio. The second morning, they brought in heavy machinery to excavate a well, which significantly increased noise. The final morning, I was awoken by the sound of a Bobcat-mounted jackhammer being used just outside.I imagine under normal circumstances, it would be *perfect*, but I can't really recommend it until the construction ends. Side note, the second bedroom could *really* use a small table or something. There is nowhere to sit a phone or glasses when going to sleep.

Great Lake Front Get Away!

We had a wonderful stay at this lakefront property. The location is peaceful and scenic—perfect for relaxing or spending time outdoors. The host was incredibly welcoming, responsive, and made sure everything was perfect. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a great getaway!

Beautiful view

This property was very nice and has incredible views. It was so nice sitting on the various decks relaxing and taking in the beautiful views of the lake. I was sitting on the lower deck and an eagle flew right over me. We loved everything about it, the only complaint was the noise coming from the neighbor next door and various lawn maintenance workers. Almost every day there was some noise going on and was a little bit of a problem. I would definitely recommend as long as they can do something about all the noise.

Quick weekend on the lake

Great little lake house that fit our family of 4 for a quick weekend. Nicely remodeled. Owner was very quick to respond to questions and accommodate a couple requests for us. The best part was hanging out on the deck and enjoying the lake view and breeze with extended family who were staying at a hotel.

Only issue we had is that the owner asked us to pay 90 on top of the usual cleaning fees. The reason given to us was that bugs had entered the house. The house was ina wooded area which was full of bugs as usual during summer. Apart from that, it's a fine placemb

Great gateway

We stayed for two nights on a family getaway. The cottage had everything we needed—stunning lake views, direct water access, relaxing patios, and cozy rooms. Check-in and checkout were smooth. Communication with the host was easy. It’s a hidden gem and we would recommend!
