  • Your dream vacation awaits at Alpha's Round Lake Retreat! This open loft style log cabin with separate guest cottage features beautiful year round views of Round Lake from both inside and out. Alpha's Round Lake Retreat is cozy yet spacious and offers private Lake frontage and dock on all sports Round Lake. Offering great fishing, boating and swimming you'll find there's lots to do right out your front door. The wrap around deck and large yard provides even more space for family fun outside including a sandbox for the kids. Enjoy your morning coffee on the front porch swing while taking in beautiful views of the lake and grill your meals on the back porch while enjoying your favorite cold beverage of choice in the evening. After dinner, gather everyone around the fire pit for story time and roasting marshmallows.

    Amongst the Main Cabin and Guest Cottage there's ample space to gather and sleeping accommodations for 14. The main cabin boasts an open floor layout with a loft overlooking it all! On the main level you will find a fully equipped kitchen, dining area and living area with a doorway to the front porch. For your convenience the main bedroom is located on the ground level and offers a King size bed, Smart TV and views of the Lake. There is also a full bathroom on the main level. The upstairs loft offers a second bedroom with a queen bed, a trundle bed and the second full bathroom. Other amenities include a washer and dryer and extra refrigerator in the entry room. In the Guest Cottage you will find two additional bedrooms each with a queen bed and bunk bed set along with the third full bathroom. The newly remodeled recreational room offers the perfect space for family game nights and come morning enjoy the convenience of the recently added kitchenette and coffee bar.

    Amenities include Free Wi-Fi, Ceiling Fans, Smart TV, Washer & Dryer, 2 Refrigerators(plus mini fridge in the Guest Cottage Kitchenette), Fully Equipped Kitchen, Dining Table, Gas Grill, Outdoor Seating, Fire Pit, Sandbox, Toys for Kids, Life Jackets. Linens and Towels are provided.

Great Lake view house

We enjoyed staying in the house and spending mornings on the deck viewing the lake. The evenings were quiet and fun watching the night wildlife. It was clean and comfortable with room for all 10 of us. Great place to stay!

Upon arriving we found it very inviting and fully stocked beyond any expectation. We had come for a girls weekend with 12 of us and felt we had plenty of room. We so enjoyed the front porch with coffee in the mornings. And the beach was Sandy and allowed for us to relax and bond.

Stayed here for our annual summer family getaway and everything was perfect! The location was wonderful, directly across from a beautifully maintained Sandy beach, quiet road, and just far enough from the neighbors to feel isolated. We loved the guest house and had plenty of room for our family of 12 without ever feeling crowded. The kids loved the large sandbox and swings, as well as the supply of games and toys. Chech in/out was easy and we enjoyed every moment in this beautiful home!

Stayed with my sister, brother, and our families. The house fit everyone great and included extra common areas for the night owls. Packed with so many extras and awesome beach area.

Salmon Fishing Trip

10 Guys getting together for a fishing trip. The property worked out well for us, and, all had a great time. Nice property, and, several of the guys mentioned that they planned to rent it for family trips.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a fantastic time! The accommodations were perfect! Beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well provisioned. Actually, it was stocked better than any place I’ve ever stayed at before. The management company was attentive when I had a question while I was there and we had no issues with anything in the house.

This place is a GEM!

What a wonderful cabin for a girlfriends' getaway! Lots of room, beautiful view of Round Lake, comfy beds, plenty of linens, big dining room table that we could all gather around, a well stocked kitchen, and plenty of parking. We had a great time catching up with a very special group of women. Thank you for offering the ALPHA ROUND LAKE CABIN!

Family Vacation

What an amazing place. Had everything you could want and need. My grandchildren didn’t want to leave they got to take their kayaks out for the 1st time and both of them caught a fish!! The babies had plenty of room to move around both inside and out. Us adults had a very fun and relaxing time. Will definitely go back. Would recommend this 100%

Perfect Family 4th Celebration

We loved everything about this cottage. There was plenty of room for our family of 5 and our friend’s from Florida’s family of 4 to spread out. The place really has it all. 2 porches and a cute beach area with a rowboat and dock, ceiling fans, and such a nice view of the lake. The kitchen was very well equipped and the layout made meal prep easy. Dining and coffee outdoors on the covered lakeside porch was delightful. We hope to come back again maybe in the fall or winter.

This property was perfect for family vacation. We had 9 adults and 4 kids under 6. We especially loved all the kid friendly amenities; sand box, swing, ladder, toys, books. The beach was perfect and we were able to bring the pontoon boat. Lake is shallow and we didn't have the best luck fishing but great for swimming and tubing. There was more enough space for all of us. Communication with the host was prompt and thorough. House was clean and stocked with the necessities. Ludington state park less than 30mins away. We are contemplating booking for next year as well!

Relaxing and beautiful with space

Wonderful peaceful stay at Round Lake with my siblings and friends! Great set up for both privacy and togetherness. The kitchen was fully equipped and it was easy to shop nearby for groceries! Terrify Amish bakery at the West Shore Market. A lot of springtime blooms and water visitors: a loon family, 2 geese with 6 small goslings, multiple cranes, and ducks galore. Also the fish are starting to jump! We can't wait to come back.

The kitchen was very well stocked with all of the necessities. The view of the lake is so pretty! It was frozen and covered with snow when we first arrived and had thawed to show some open water before we left. A perfect getaway for the holidays! It was the perfect mix of the comforts of home without the work of home projects! We will definitely be back!!!

Beautiful and clean home, roomy

Loved the property. Very clean with plenty of room for dining and sleeping. Porch was amazing and the loft was beautiful. Loved the extra fridge in the entry way, very thoughtful. Only real hiccup was that we weren’t able to get our pontoon in the lake due to the boat launch being too shallow. Had the truck all the way to where the tailpipe was under but was still not deep enough. Would be great for kayaks though. Also 10 am checkout was pretty rough. Would have really appreciated 11 am in order to have time to eat, pack and clean up. Wonderful place!

Great RETURN TRIP!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our 2nd visit to the Round Lake Cabin, turned into a mini-retreat for my work department heads. Women in the main house and men in the guest house - plenty of room for everybody! The reconfigurations in the guest house really added so much living space and places for individual quiet time. The new "beer fridge" in the laundry room was a great addition. Luckily, we had a self-proclaimed chef among us so we felt pampered! We enjoyed skiing at both Caberfae and Crystal Mountain (both within an hour's drive). Hoping to come back in the fall to see the gorgeous Michigan COLORS!

Awesome Weekend

My review is for all other families out there looking for a place with kids. Do it! Mine are 5, 3 and 1. The house was equipped with pack n play, high chair, kids table with chairs, outside kids picnic table, kids toys and books. There was even Johnson kids soap on the main house bathroom! They supply A LOT of towels. They offered a variety of life vests and toys to play with. I loved how personal the beach area is. (There isn’t a lot of sand outside of the water). But the depth of the water until the end of the dock was shallow and perfect for the kiddos. And the water was sandy! Great stay for families with kids for sure!

Fantastic Get-a-way: everything you need with friends and family

The house and guest house is an ideal situation for a get-together where everyone has individual space.Location: Round lake is beautiful. It was perfect for kids splashing on the beach and adults playing in the water. The house is nicely set back so we didn't have to worry about the kids running to the water without our knowledge. The deck provides for a relaxing and beautiful space to play cards, drink coffee, and relax. Amenities: The kitchen has all the amenities you need to cook. The beds feel brand new and very comfortable. There are plenty of blankets, pillows, towels, etc., as well. With kids it was great having a washer and dryer, toys, and a highchair! The closest real food options are in Ludington, so it worked wonderfully to buy groceries and cook. Parking was easy at the house, with room for at least 3 cars.The place has clearly been renovated or updated recently as everything was working and clean. Having so many clean rooms, a highly functional kitchen, the relaxing coffee/happy hour table on the deck, the main living space, and the water front made the visit feel like a real vacation.
