Gulfside Condominiums is close to Fort Walton’s shopping and dining and a mere ten minutes from Destin, it has a rooftop pool area that provides one of the best views on Okaloosa Island. Guests can get to the beach from the boardwalk at the base of the parking area and can use a barbeque grill that is located along this boardwalk as well.

Great Location

The location was great, the rental was spacious. The rooftop pool was wonderful. Our unit had a Murphy bed which was a big hit with the kids. The check-in and out process was simple and hassle free. The only mild inconveniences at the time of our visit was the elevator not working for a short time, and the smell of our rental when we first arrived. The staff was responsive and friendly. Overall a great time!

Great Release

This had to be the place i needed to go to, to really relax, I was just in Ahh. I loved it all. Oh might get a new bed, the blocks under the bed you can feel threw the bed. Other then that, i have no complaints

Honest Review

This is a spacious, clean and mostly up to date condo. It's in a great location and bed is comfortable. The bathrooms are very nice and pool is beautiful with great view. The cons for my family: Kitchen is poorly stocked. There are no pitchers to make tea or any beverage by the gallon. The pots and pans are horrible. Very few measuring tools. The slide out mechanism for the trash can was not fastened to the cabinet. It kept falling into floor. The mattress is comfortable but the bedding is hospital bed grade. The sheets are like paper and the comforter has no weight to it. Luckily we bring our own blanket but will bring sheets if we stay again. The big rug in living room needs to be replaced or shampooed regularly. The unit was very clean except for this item. It is very dirty and needs attention. The rooftop pool is gorgeous and so is the view. The downside to the pool is that it appears to be the local watering hole for the seagulls. In 1 day they had left poop and feathers all around the pool. Honestly for the price I think it should have just a touch more of home to it. Not saying it's a bad unit because it's not. Not saying we wouldn't book it again. Just buy some decent bedding and stock the kitchen so people can cook some basic things and make tea or Kool aid.

All great except-

The place was perfect location and as described. Note - bring ice if you’d like to go straight to beach. Plumbing pipes and couch both make crazy noises, all the time. Our only real issue was no one told us the pool was under construction during our visit. We were extremely disappointed no one notified us so we could look at other options or offered to offset some of the costs for an amenity we picked location for. (Roof pool vs those that sun is blocked out by building). I couldn’t imagine if kids had been with us. As disappointed as we were, I couldn’t even fathom how disappointed kids would be. The contractors blocked a lot of parking spots unnecessarily but luckily we got one each day.

Great location and would stay again

The location is great but the building is a little worn especially the elevator buttons that need fixed because sometimes they don't work.The roof top pool was pretty cool.Didnt swim but went up to enjoy the views. Arrived Christmas Eve and the door code did not work.Called the emergency number and was called back immediately and the lady was very nice and fixed it quickly.The condo was really nice despite a few dust bunnies but was not something major to us.The bedroom was nice and couch was comfortable and even pull out wasn't bad.Nice big TV and plenty of seating.The balcony had a great view but could smell people smoking pot daily.Only major problem I had was there was no cleaning products.They had packet of dishwasher soap and for washing clothes.But nothing to clean counter or the toilet.I knew about paper towels and brought my own along with extra toilet paper.The kitchen also had nothing like salt pepper or coffee filters which I was aware of.A bottle of lysol would have been nice. Bedroom had a huge rug rolled up and some trim along the wall that should have been removed but wasn't a big deal. The master bath was ok only problem was the lighting was dim. The other bathroom was nice. The kitchen has newer appliances but the ice machine made noise. Plenty of silverware but no sharp knives to cut or peel anything. I would stay here again even though there was a few negative things.

Great condo

My husband and I rented this condo for our honeymoon. It looked just like the pictures. Beautiful beach/ocean views and perfect size for a couple. Had everything we needed and close to lots of restaurants and attractions! No issues with check in or check out and the condo was clean. We didn't experience any issues. The rooftop pool is awesome too, great views! We would stay here again.

Beautiful and clean room, great location.

Me and my husband went to celebrate our anniversary and we had the best time. We wanted to stay in a small condo with not as many people and we were completely satisfied. Easy beach access and the location is great. We were not right in the middle of town, but close enough that everything was easily 5 or so minutes away. Our room was spotless and check-in/check-out was super easy with great instructions. The listing was spot-on accurate and there were no surprises. We also had Alexa equipped in our room and we could ask anything from pool codes to where were the best places to eat. Will stay again!

Always a great spot!

We've booked this location twice, once in 2019 for our honeymoon and again in 2021. It's always been nice and quiet, well-kept, and the view is perfect! Parking, check-in, check-out are all easy, and having a punch-code lock on the door (no keys!) is fantastic! If I were to knock any points off, it would be for a musty smell when we first arrived, from the AC system. We adjusted the temp, and opened front and back doors to air out while we moved in, and that pretty much solved it. We'll be hoping to book this location again on our next visit!

Location, Cleanliness, View...all terrific!

This property was fabulous! The location is perfect to just walk right out to your chairs and sit for the rest of the day. It was spotless and very tastefully decorated. The kitchen was well-equipped, but we didn't cook at all while there. We love this beach as there aren't high rises and it's a pretty easy drive over the bridge to Destin restaurants. HIGHLY recommend Boshamp's for fresh seafood! We make regular trips to the many beaches and this location and the condo itself would be on our top 5 for us as a couple within the 7 hour drive from home. The *only* improvement I could recommend is the lighting in the master bedroom. It's so very dark in there, which is just where the bedroom is location with no real windows. But, just changing the lighting to a more natural bulb instead of the harsh LED bulb would soften it up more...or just lamps on the side tables.

Perfectly located condo unit in smaller building

A wonderful unit with unobstructed ocean view. We enjoyed the smaller building of only 15 or so units. Very quiet. We didn’t even need to take the elevator and used the outside stairs. Ideal for social distancing in these Covid-19 times. Close to Pensacola, Seaside and the Gulf Islands Seashore State Park offering fun outdoor activities like the beach, kayaking and bicycling. Close to grocery stores as well. We didn’t want for anything in the unit. Bed was very comfortable. Sunsets amazing. The only disappointment was that the pool is not heated. We extended out stay we loved it so much.

Thanksgiving Getaway

Wonderful condo right on the beach! We were able to enjoy quiet time together away from others. The beach wasn’t crowded and the free beach chairs were a great perk! The condo was beautiful, comfortable king size bed and all the amenities we needed for a relaxing getaway.
