Not only was it clean and comfortable, but it was absolutely beautiful and the effort and care the owners Erin and Josh put into the every detail was evident. I’d love to return in the future for a longer stay for more opportunity to relax at this lovely property and explore the charming surrounding area further!"

"It’s a beautiful inn and location! Our room on the third floor had windows on three sides - views of the river and marina as well as views of Long Island sound. The staff was friendly and helpful! They had some cheese and crackers available in the afternoon, fresh cookies at 7pm (perfect little snack after returning from dinner), not to mention a nice breakfast. Would recommend to anyone looking to get away and enjoy some r&r."

"The House of 1833 is a beautiful old home with an amazing collection of antiques. It is surrounded by old English style gardens. In late September we were a bit too early for fall colors. The owner is delightful and helpful and the food was wonderful! "

The location was superb in close proximity to the "boardwalk" and all the great restaurants in town. Stumbled upon this gem and will eventually stumble back!"

"Great B&B with service to match! If you want to relax this is a very tranquil stay. Each room has different decor and options so it keeps it interesting. Rooms are very clean too! Owners are extremely welcoming and address any need you may have. The property is beautiful surrounded by trees but has outdoor area to relax as well. It’s located just down the road from Foxwoods Casino and other towns near by which keeps your day options abundant as well. My husband and I enjoyed it and look...

"Very nice an quiet property. Stayed for two nights with my boyfriend. Cleaning is on set. We decided to stay a little longer so they made posible a late check out for a small fee. The guy on the front dest was very nice and attentive. I woul recomend this hotel for everyone. "
