My experience at this Holiday Inn in Fort Myers was profoundly disappointing, primarily due to the unacceptable treatment from front desk agent "Nakita" during check-in.
I arrived to find the total hold already on my AMEX. I tried to change my payment method to another credit card, but "Nakita" displayed a poor attitude from the start. She rudely informed me her break was approaching and I needed to "hurry up and decide quickly." Tired from travel, I kept the AMEX to avoid conflict.
This was a stark contrast to the exceptional service I received at another Holiday Inn the night before, where the agent detailed all amenities (gym, pool, breakfast, etc.). 'Nakita' provided zero information and only created problems.
When I asked for her name to provide feedback, she responded with an ironic laugh, showing a total lack of professionalism. I felt deeply offended and frustrated. She needs urgent retraining; her attitude is a disgrace to the hotel’s first impression.
In addition to the front desk issue, the room had multiple maintenance and cleanliness problems:
Dirty bathroom floor.
Two towels had long black hair on them.
Shower only had body wash and two conditioners; shampoo was missing.
We were four people with only three towels. We feared asking "Nakita' for another.
The blackout curtain detached from the wall and fell down in the middle of the night, scaring us and letting in light in the morning.
I reported the incident to the manager during check-out to set a precedent.
