The Space:

BEDROOM

The bedroom offers a peaceful retreat with a queen bed, soft linens, natural textures, and its own Smart TV for winding down at the end of the day. Windows bring in gentle natural light, while warm wood furnishings and jute details give the room a relaxed, grounded feel.



LIVING ROOM

The living room brings together color, comfort, and views of the canal just outside. A cozy blue sofa and bold red lounge chair provide comfortable seating around a Smart TV, creating an easy place to relax after a day exploring Fort Lauderdale. Large windows frame the water and bring plenty of natural light into the space, making the living room just as inviting for a quiet morning as it is for a movie night at home.



KITCHEN & DINING

The compact kitchen is fully equipped with the essentials for your stay, including a refrigerator and freezer, stove, oven, microwave, coffee maker, cookware, dishes, and everyday basics. The dining area sits beside the kitchen with natural light and views toward the water. Enjoy your morning coffee or meals here, or use the table as a convenient workspace for remote work or planning your stay.



BATHROOM

The apartment includes one full private bathroom with bright lighting, modern fixtures, and everything you need to refresh before heading out or unwind at the end of the day.



SHARED POOL, CANAL & OUTDOOR SPACE

Step outside and you’ll have access to the property’s shared pool, canal-front setting, and tropical outdoor spaces surrounded by mature trees and greenery. Take a swim, settle in by the pool with your morning coffee, or spend some time along the canal watching boats drift by. Please note that the pool, canal-front area, and outdoor spaces are shared with guests staying in the other accommodations on the property. You should expect to occasionally see or interact with other guests while enjoying these spaces.



The interior of The Jute Box is completely private to your reservation. Only the outdoor amenities and common exterior areas are shared.



LOCATION

The Jute Box is tucked into a convenient pocket of Oakland Park, putting you just minutes from the restaurants and nightlife of Wilton Drive, Oakland Park’s Main Street, Fort Lauderdale Beach, and downtown Fort Lauderdale.

It’s an easy home base for exploring South Florida while giving you a colorful, comfortable place by the water to return to at the end of the day.



GOOD TO KNOW



Multifamily Property & Shared Amenities: The Jute Box is one of several separate guest accommodations located on the same multifamily property. The interior of your apartment is completely private and exclusively for your reservation; however, the pool, canal-front area, and outdoor spaces are shared with guests staying in the other units.



Neighboring Units & Noise: The Jute Box has neighboring guest accommodations both above and beside the apartment. You may occasionally hear normal residential sounds such as footsteps, voices, doors, or movement from nearby units and shared outdoor areas. If you are a particularly light sleeper or highly sensitive to neighboring noise, this property may not be the best fit for your stay.



Pool Service: The pool is professionally serviced 1–2 times per week to maintain water quality and cleanliness. A technician may briefly access the shared outdoor areas during your stay to complete routine service.



Mature Trees & Pool Debris: The property is surrounded by beautiful mature trees and tropical landscaping, so you may occasionally notice leaves or other natural debris in the pool between professional services. This is a normal part of the outdoor environment and does not affect the cleanliness or safety of the pool.



Canal-Front & Tropical Environment: The Jute Box is located directly along a South Florida canal and surrounded by tropical landscaping. Insects, lizards, and other small wildlife are a natural part of this environment and may occasionally be seen despite regular professional pest control.



Humidity & Environmental Odors: As with many older canal-front properties in South Florida, occasional odors related to humidity, weather, or the surrounding environment may be noticeable, particularly during warmer months.



Pets: Pets are welcome for a $90 fee per pet. Please keep pets leashed whenever they are in the shared outdoor areas and pick up after your pet throughout the property.



Early Check-In & Late Check-Out: Early check-in and late check-out may be available for $25 per hour, subject to availability. Because availability depends on our cleaning and reservation schedule, we typically cannot confirm these requests until the day of arrival or departure.



Luggage Drop-Off: Unfortunately, we’re unable to accommodate luggage drop-offs or storage outside of your confirmed check-in and check-out times.
