The Space:
The Laura Ashley by the Sea is a 2,800 sq ft delightful hacienda outfitted in signature designer style. It's located on a canal in The Landings, one of Fort Lauderdale's signature upscale residential communities. Spacious and ideal for groups of up to 10, family and friends, this is a dream South Florida vacation home!

A wonderfully inviting open floor plan holds 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, all in that iconic Laura Ashley style that is comfortable and attractive: tasteful furnishings, decorator tile floors, crown moldings, and stylish fittings. The kitchen is well equipped and roomy, the family room has a flatscreen television and plush seating, and the pool and sundeck are never far away, with entries from the family room, both master bedrooms, and the dining room. Wireless Internet is included.

Speaking of bedrooms, this is one of our largest vacation homes, with room for everyone to spread out. The first master bedroom includes a flatscreen television, a king-size bed, and a master bathroom. On the opposite side of the house, you’ll find a second master bedroom also with a king-size bed and an adjoining bathroom. Two other bedrooms feature queen-size beds, and the fifth bedroom has 2 single-size beds that are perfect for children.

The backyard faces south and has wonderful sun from dawn to dusk. It's also situated at the intersection of two canals, which makes for a scenic view of boats gliding past. The pool is lovely, with a deck made for enjoying the sunshine and there's even a hammock strung between two palms, just like paradise is supposed to be! A sheltered alfresco dining area allows entertaining in comfort, and a fully equipped outdoor kitchen has everything you need to cook in style. The private dock has its own lounge chairs, perfect for tranquil reflection and cozy companionship.

Fort Lauderdale needs no introduction, the incomparable restaurants, bars, and clubs of The Strip are where good times happen. For a romantic or elegant evening out, make sure to also visit Fort Lauderdale’s famous Las Olas Boulevard. Lastly, this home is only a 15-minute walk to relaxing Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, a quaint beach village with a more laid back feel. Beautiful sandy beaches are always within reach, along with all the relaxation and recreation opportunities of South Florida vacation living. You'll never want to return home!

Beautiful Home and Location!!!

Gorgeous house located in a very good area near Fort Lauderdale by the Sea. The property has ample space for our group of 10. The views are amazing, and the pool is splendid. Would recommend and will be returning. The host responded and attended to our needs very quickly.

Family Time

We had plenty of room for our group of nine and the young people enjoyed the pool and fishing off the dock, as well as being a bike ride away from the beach. Lars, the property manager, was always super responsive prior and during of stay as he sent a repair man out to fix the hot water heater when notified. Thanks Lars

Very pleased with the condition and location

Everything was wonderful. It was clean, supplied enough amenities to get started, perfect location. There were a couple of hitches but the management company addressed these minor issues immediately. Great vacation!

Fabulous Girls Trip

Stayed at the house with 8 women - it was the perfect size for all of us. The pool and view were fantastic, very peaceful. The house was very clean, and the table was set when we arrived which made it look so welcoming. There were two living areas and of course 5 bedrooms. There was a starter pack of items such as shampoo and soap, laundry and dishwasher detergent. All my questions were answered within a few hours. The property was within walking distance to many places, but we also took Ubers, which were always within 2-3 min. away. We will definitely return to this house in the future.

Special Day

House was very clean. Loved sitting in the yard with family and having a private pool. Had a minor issue that was resolved within hours. Great response time and very attentive. If we have a chance to be in South Florida again will definitely stay. Thanks for adding to our incredible weekend.

Fabulous graduation celebration

Our family of seven enjoyed our stay as we celebrated my daughter’s graduation last weekend. We lazed in the pool and fished in the canal. The house was well equipped and very comfortable. The neighborhood was charming and the neighbors were friendly. Great stay!

The property was a nice location, easy 1 mile bike ride to the beach and fun to have 4 bikes available. Lots to do at Lauderdale by the Sea and also enjoyable to relax by the pool. We were disappointed at the cleanliness of the kitchen and the beds could use an update, but overall the house worked well for our group.

The home was really clean and maintained. We did have to buy a lot of basic items such as toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, dish cleaning items, and dishwasher tabs, as the quantities of the items left for us by the rental company were not adequate to cover the full week for our group (5 adults, 4 kids). We loved the pool, and we loved how the house was spread out, giving everyone together time and a way to have some private time. Location was wonderful, and the neighborhood was great. Overall, a great home away from home. Our kids are asking us to rent it again!

Beautiful house in an amazing location!

Beautiful spacious house with all amenities in an amazing, quiet and family oriented neighborhood. We were reminded of garbage day via txt and had no one calling us or hassling us. grear stay and highly recommended. Will rent again! :)

Nice house, not so great customer service

Enjoyed the house overall for relaxing trip with 2 couples. It was nice having 2 master bedrooms with pool access, it was great for our group. The house was lacking in basic toiletries/paper products that would have been helpful to have stated in the listing. They only left 1 roll of paper towels and 1 roll of toilet paper in each bathroom which isn’t enough when you’re staying for a week. The kitchen also didn’t have basic pantry staples. They provided salt & pepper, but that was it, not even coffee filters for the coffee pot. They should update the listing with that information for future travelers. Also disappointed with the patio furniture and communication with the listing agent and/or property manager. When we arrived, we noticed the main patio tabletop was broken and had shards of jagged glass sticking out of it. My husband slipped on the pool tile after it had rained, his hand ended up going through the broken table and needed stitches. I informed the listing agent about this and asked that the table be removed or replaced as it was unsafe, when the property manager came out to inspect it they measured for new tile and glass for the table but didn’t do anything for our stay there. They also left the table at the house, but didn’t do anything else. The listing agent also told us that the table was not broken and was actually new when we arrived, which is incorrect. It felt like we were being blamed for the incident when the glass was already broken and no safety measures had been taken prior to our arrival. We hope that management takes care of the issue so no other renters can be injured, also hope that they take this incident seriously by using safety glass on the table so this doesn’t keep happening.

Beautiful house in very nice location

We arrived at ten but the check in was just at 4.We could not check in earlier because they were in process to clean the house. House was clean beautiful view and the heated pool was used every night.It was not heated when we arrived but we called and next day it was turned on.Great experience!! Only concern was that the outside table had a broken glass but I addressed it to Sean and I bet he will take care of it.

Easy and great getaway

My family and I were very pleased with the layout of the property. Having the canal in our backyard was perfect and the drive to the beach was 5 min away. It was a great location with a lot of great local restaurant options. The home had plenty of space and was perfect for our family of 5. There were a few floor tiles in the kitchen and bathroom that were cracked and moving off the sum floor due to old age and also the pool plaster was brittle and broken in some areas. These could be repaired but nothing that prevented us from having a great time. I would recommend this property to just about anyone as it was a great home and location!
