Disgusting
This property has severe water-intrusion issues, so the stench of mildew abounds. We left halfway through our stay, could no longer endure the coughing, the spiders, the smell of death from the oven, the ever-present moisture and dampness and general stench of the place. It is filthy. Pet hair everywhere. The internet was not usable and a complete disaster for our working trip. A tv is supplied but lacks any signal - no cable, no streaming, it is a blank monitor. I attempted to hook up my iPad but with a feeble WiFi signal it was pointless. The 'air conditioning' is a single wall unit from 1971 that is incredibly noisy, can't be used on high for fear of tripping a breaker, and barely cools the one room it is in. This place continues to haunt my dreams. Security was an issue as many doors and windows would not shut or lock. There were rodent droppings in a kitchen drawer. Burned out light bulbs. There was a Keurig which lacked the water receptacle, so it was useless. Broken appliances. Most taps are hooked backwards, hot and cold reversed. Frustratingly, home reno books abound on the flithy bookshelf. My attempts to get a refund for the remainder of our stay went unanswered and VRBO informed me they would continue our discussion by email and I heard nothing. It was my first VRBO stay and it will be my last.
