Romantic, Clean,Comfortable, and Private

Swedish Paradise is one of Folly's Best Rentals. This modern home is located at one of the narrowest points in the island. As you can see from our map, it is s short walk to the beach. Each bedroom has a balcony overlooking the marsh and river.

This house provides the quiet relaxation of the island's river side with easy access to the beach. Enjoy a quiet dinner on the screened back porch or sun bath on one of the second floor private open decks.

The designers of this house did an excellent job setting up the elegant house with clean lines and modern fixtures.

Well behaved house-broken, flea treated dogs are welcome with approval, but there is no fenced yard, so they would need to be walked on a leash. Keep in mind that dogs are not allowed on the beach between the hours of 10:00am-6:00pm from May 1st to September 30th.

The beach house had an odor like water damage and carpet needs to be updated and walls needs to be painted. That would help the appearance of the house and wouldn’t cost much. The ceiling in the upstairs bathroom had mold on it. It appeared throughout the whole house some water damage. I hate to sound critical but it definitely needs improvements. Thank you

This was our second time renting this house. The floor plan is ideal. Lots of balcony space to enjoy the view of the marsh and its fauna. I usually cook every night and appreciate the open floor plan of the living room, dining space, and kitchen.

Amazing stay again!

This was our second time staying here. The house is so comfortable and truly has everything you need. The walk to the beach is very short and is never super crowded. The house is also great for a toddler!

Folly Stay

They house in a beautiful and peaceful area away from the noise and crowd but close enough to get there easily. Just a quick walk to the beach and nice deck views of the marsh. A Couple of repairs are needed. One Of the shower heads and an outside deck door handle broke off. Overall it was a great stay and I would recommend it.

Great Folly Beach location

Our family loved the marsh views and quick access to the beach. Easy to walk dogs on the street. Several visits from a mother deer and her two babies was exciting.

Lovely

Spacious house just a short walk to the beach

My group of 4 stayed here for a week and we very much enjoyed it! It was a short walk to the beach, had spacious bedrooms, good porch area, and a complete kitchen. The property is a bit older with some older fixtures and could be more deeply cleaned, but it had everything we needed and we enjoyed our stay!

Great location for walking to the beach

We stayed for two weeks at this beach house & had a great time. It’s close walking distance to some of the best surfing on the island. The back of the house is on the marsh, through the deck & one upstairs bedroom you have a nice view. The owner is super kind & helpful. The property was clean & we had no issues.

Perfect spot for our family

Stayed here for a week with our three children. Very quiet location with quick, walkable access to the beach. Spent many evenings relaxing on the back deck overlooking the marsh. If you are looking for the perfect mix of relaxation and access to fun, this is the place to stay!

Location, location, location!

What a wonderful month! My husband and I and our golden retriever stayed at Sarita’s beautiful home for the month of April and it was everything we had hoped it would be and more! The location is on the quiet end of Folly Beach and just two blocks from the beach. We woke up to the sounds of marsh birds every morning. The home is as seen in photos…very comfortable and had plenty of room for visiting grown kids and grand kids. Lots of steps at the property. Our 12 year old golden navigated them with some effort but if mobility is an issue it could be tough. Sarita was very communicative and easy to work with but honestly we had no concerns and no reason to reach out after our arrival. For me the best part of the house was the one minute walk to the beach! We will be back!

Serene and peaceful 10 days on Folly

Tucked away on a quiet street, a three minute walk to the beach with views of an expansive marsh and waterways to the west, this is a wonderful place to enjoy the natural beauty of Folly Island. My friend and I enjoyed cooking in the well-equipped kitchen and shared meals on the screened porch to while listening to bird song, and watching for egrets, herons and the occasional pelican. Most evenings we would walk a short block to view the spectacular sunsets and then return to the property to watch the setting sun transform the marsh. The house is lovely and comfortable without being fussy. We didn't realize that Folly would be transformed by crowds over the Easter holidays, so we were especially glad to be in a quiet neighborhood a few miles from the traffic and crowds. The one challenge was arriving at night - like many houses on the island, the living space is on the second and third floor. The spiral steps in front made carrying up our suitcases and bags a little daunting. If we have the opportunity to return, I would plan to arrive during the day and carry bags up the back steps which are much easier to maneuver.

5 nights in Folly

Hidden gem with easy acess to the beach. Nice views of the marsh from the decks. Screened porch is a bonus. Spacious home with everything you need. Quiet area a couple mins to central st resturants and shops.

Great location and comfy home

My husband and our two dogs thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It’s a lovely neighborhood and a quick walk to the beach. It was great to have a screened in porch and a spacious kitchen. The kitchen could be a little more organized, but that’s a minor detail. The master bath could have been a little cleaner, mostly the sink, but that was easy to clean

Folly Beach Week

Had a great visit! House was as pictured. Easy walk to the beach. Enjoyed the views off the back deck. Check in/out process was smooth and Sarita was a great host! Would stay there again.
