  • People love staying here because of the privacy and wind down factor. The home sits on 2 acres of 100+year old trees and palms. The pool and spacious backyard is totally private for your family and friends. The kitchen is very well stocked, gas cook top and plenty of counter space for meals and entertainment. The bunkroom is a great hangout for the kids to enjoy movies and of course leads straight into the pool and patio deck. An oasis near OWA is a plus!! There is ample parking in driveway to fit trailers and large trucks easily.

Great Stay!

We had a great time. The house was nice and we enjoyed the many restaurants, shops nearby. Pool was used as much as possible. Great location!

Peace and quiet

This property is literal peace and quiet. The house is beautiful and spacious. The kitchen is amazing. We hung out mostly in the back room as a family. The pool was perfect. Great family get away.

Longview property in Foley

The property was spacious and the decor was lovely. The pool area was amazing with ample seating and two sail coverings. The location was very convenient to OWA, shopping and restaurants. We are already planning to return with our extended family in the near future.

This property is a great location. The Property Manager was very responsive. The house is very roomy for the 9 of us. The pool was clean and we really enjoyed it. We will rent this house again without hesitation whilst visiting Owa and Foley and the surrounding area.

Bachelorette Trip Weekend

Overall, our stay was fantastic. The location, neighborhood, and property it self were so perfect for our needs. The home was clean and spacious and the pool was a wonderful bonus. The only thing I would advise other guests, if you’re planning on cooking, bring pots and pans. Big thanks to Rick for hosting us! Would definitely stay again.

Perfect House in Foley

The house is exactly as described. There is a small starter for TP, hand and dish soap. There aren't any storage type containers in the kitchen but there's a Publix right up the street so no big deal. There's plenty of space to spread out. The washer and dryer are a nice bonus especially if traveling to the area for sports. There's tons of pool toys to entertain the kids as well. We would definitely stay again.

Foley Palms Fun

This is a great property. The location is very good for getting to OWA, restaurants and the beach. It is far enough away from the hustle, bustle of the beach but just a short 15 minute drive to get there. The house was very comfortable. We especially enjoyed the huge kitchen island and living area. The pool is lovey. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate enough for us to enjoy it, but it was nice to sit around and enjoy the sun. Our pups loved being in the fenced area to chase each other around. Hopefully we can make it back in the years to come!Thank you for a memorable vacation Rick!

Very Nice Place

The home is beautifully renovated and the decor is really nice. Had EVERYTHING needed for our stay. It was our first time in this area and everyone was super nice and friendly. Only issue was the pool and yard areas. The pool was really nasty and the grounds need ALOT of work. Was really disappointed that we were not able to use the pool but hopefully next time, it will too be updated. Thanks for sharing your beautiful spot!

A few recommendations

We had a nice stay. The location was super close to water park and soccer fields. However; we didn’t like seeing a live roach and dead beetles inside the house. The top bunk bed sheets had sand in them when we arrived. We also noticed grime on floors and dried toothpaste in sink. I would suggest a good pest control and perhaps a better cleaning service.

Things you might want to know

There is a ring camera on front door, made us uncomfortable with just women going on trip. The back door was keyed locked only one door to access or leave property. I asked about unlocking the back door and was given a very rude answer. Very poor lighting in front area. Security deposit was told would be refunded upon departure, they now say 6 days to be released I did have to question that and it was released after questioning about what contract said. The house was very nice but just didn’t like the camera and the dead bolted door. Made Us very uncomfortable.

SOUTHERN BEACH CHARM

I have been going to Gulf Shores and Foley, AL on vacation with my family for as long as I can remember. I have stayed on the beach, in condos etc. but this home was a little different. This was my grandchildren (ages 6 and 4) first time going to the beach and I didn't want anything to grand but I wanted it to be perfect and that's just what this home offers! There were 10 of us in total and it was a WONDERFUL stay. Though the house is not on the beach it's sitting in a prime location and it's 10-20 minutes from all amenities including Orange Beach to Tanger Outlets to local eateries. Each room has it's own little charm, the home was clean, the pool was clean and was a wonderful addition even though it was too cool to enjoy it and none of us were ready to leave. I travel a lot domestic and international and each place that I stay gets a rating from me whether good or bad. With the little things like having a needle and thread handy for this Southern girl to hem her grandsons PJs, enough counter space for our Southern cooking, to having a nice deck back porch to enjoy a laugh and conversation with my sister, to my grand boys thanking me repeatedly for bringing them, to pictures that we took that will last a lifetime kudos to you Mr. Rick and your family. No doubt that we will be back and the home gets !!!!!!!!! C. Tripp

Could be a very nice house, but isn’t. The owner’s demeanor is the bigger issue.

Please read carefully. Wonderfully decorated and great location, layout and value. It has many nice amenities and a lot of attention. BUT significant cleaning and maintenance attention needed throughout. House has several reviews on both AirBNB and VRBO where the owner gets very defensive and accusatory to reviewers who raise any issue. I’m fully expecting that type of response. In the 20 times I have rented a house on VRBO etc I have never encountered a house this unclean or an owner that turns issues I raise as my fault in an accusatory tone. Mold near the showers and in the kitchen sink. Couch throw pillows had visible dirt on them. Sand in the upper bunk bed and an empty freeze-pop wrapper. Much more; house felt unclean overall. We reported all issues as they were recognized and received responses from the owner, mostly timely. Owner told me that staying out in the country (it’s suburban anyway) was not for me if I couldn’t deal with a few insects. Is this the type of owner you want to rent from? Owner took photos of the house while we were out and texted me pictures of the crockpot cooking our dinner and food in SEALED ZIPLOCK BAGS telling me it was our fault there were bugs in the house. Told us we left doors open causing the bugs (we didn’t). If the owner spent 2 days doing an exhaustive deep clean and kept it clean, but more importantly, improved his attitude on how he treated renters, he would have a goldmine. I don’t want a discount or refund. I am not a Karen.
