"I have known of this property for over 50 years by annual trips to the Blue Ridge Parkway. I have seen the property in the early years, the desolate years and now as a completely remodeled roadside inn. You do not find properties like this anymore. Everyone interested in history and an excellent stay should book at this property. The convenience of being adjacent to the Parkway is so convenient. "The cabin was all that I could have wished for. Clean, inviting, and yes! Very cozy. Less than a mile from the state park & plenty of places nearby to visit. We opted to stay in the downstairs “master suite”, the first floor full size bed was simply too soft for us. Loved the back porch with gas grill & fire pit. Spent lots of quality time there. TV reception iffy in the evenings but not an issue for us."

"The cabin was very nice. The only trouble we experienced was when we arrived at about 345. We had absolutely no cell service no phone service. Nothing to get us into the house fortunately, the girl that does the cleaning stop by and was able to get us into the house and she contacted her mother who came down and after that everything was fine we enjoyed our visit."
