Flagstaff Cabin in Forest near Lake Mary. Mountain Views. Pet-Friendly

  • This off-the-beaten-path cabin is a great place for a wilderness retreat. Located in the Coconino National Forest, the cabin is walking distance to the meadows of Lower Lake Mary and just a few miles drive to the water in Upper Lake Mary. Enjoy forest hikes, kayaking (3 kayaks and adult life jackets provided for you to transport to the lake in your vehicle), horseshoes, board games, and mountain views. With plenty of windows for light, you are never far from nature. Relax in the Adirondack chairs on the front porch while enjoying your favorite beverage or dinner cooked up on the grill. Listen to old records, enjoy the VHS and DVD library, or stream your own channels on the smart TV with high-speed satellite internet.

    Two dogs are allowed, subject to a $50 per-pet, per-stay fee when paid with reservation or $75 per pet after arrival. Please contact the hosts in advance if you plan to bring more than one dog or another animal. Note that the cabin is unfenced in the forest. Guests are asked to pick up after their pet in order to deter animals and for the benefit of future guests.

    Located only 10 miles from downtown Flagstaff and its shopping and dining. The cabin has high-speed satellite internet. Guests are asked to conserve and be mindful that the cabin is on hauled water and propane. The laundry facilities are for housecleaner use only unless needed in an emergency with advance notice to hosts (water tank levels permitting). No parties and no campfires allowed, regardless of weather and forest conditions.

    The last four miles of road to the property are unpaved, so the property may be unavailable when there is heavy snow or mud. If the roads are impassible and the cabin inaccessible, we will let you know as soon as possible and provide a full refund. Please use the driving directions you will receive, as smart phone maps tend to take you onto closed roads.

    Please note there is a doorbell camera and back floodlight camera used solely for safety/access purposes and to monitor weather/driveway conditions. They are not otherwise monitored.

For the benefit of future guests we asked that you pick up after your pet, even though we are in a forest. There is no fenced yard.

Our stay was very cozy. The cabin is equipped with more than what’s needed and had something extra for everyone. Dog toys for pups, craft area and games for kids and families, storage bags for leftovers, plethora of extra toiletries and towels, lots of seating and sleeping room. 10/10 would recommend. We hope to come back soon!

Family Friendly Cabin Getaway

We had an amazing stay at this cozy little cabin! It was clean, comfortable, and the perfect escape into the wilderness. Our kids had an absolute blast sledding near the property, which made the trip even more special. It was the perfect winter getaway. This was a trip we won’t forget, and we would definitely stay here again.

Cabin with a mountain view!

My family and I spent the weekend in this great little cabin, everything was clean and enjoyable. We look forward to visiting there again soon. The cabin has a great Mountain View and there is a beautiful history and love for this cabin. We are thankful we found this gem!

Great, quiet place tucked in woods. Easy check in, easy communication with property nothing bad to say about this place. Kitchen was fully stocked, the loft is also great for the kids to play. Cant wait to book it again. Wife and kids loved staying here. The view is beautiful!

Great quiet spot

My family of 5 (kids are 12, 9 and 6) had a great time while staying here. The location is off the beaten path but not too far away. The house had everything we needed and had a great layout that gave the kids space (upstairs) but also had a nice living area for us to all watch TV together at the end of the day. Would definitely recommend and would stay again.

Beautifull house and location

The house was great and the locations is beautifull. We enjoyed the entertainment option while we stayed in the house becuase of weather coditions. Hauled water ran out on our 2nd night, the owners were very helpfull with resolving this issue.
