Brookside Lane Cottage in picturesque Ephraim, WI

This classic Door County cottage is conveniently situated in the picturesque village of Ephraim, WI. Clean, comfortable, and bright, this 4 bedroom, 2 bath home has beautiful hardwood floors, white bead-board walls, an exposed-rafter sunroom, and an open kitchen with dinette. Surrounded by gardens and towering cedar trees that are home to frequent bald eagles, you will surely find relaxation on the spacious deck, or from inside the many rooms that offer views of the property. Walk a few hundred feet to gorgeous Eagle Bay and an additional two blocks to the sand bottom public beach. Continue further to explore Ephraim's historic homes and buildings, fine shops, restaurants, coffee shops and an old-fashioned ice cream parlor known for their generous scoops. (Worth the wait.) And, do not miss the sunsets!
Meander through the quiet, wooded streets that wind behind the village; perfect for a run, walk or bike ride. Fabulous Peninsula State Park is just up the hill and offers hiking, biking, water sports, golfing and a spectacular view from the newly constructed, accessible tower. A drive-in outdoor theater is up the hill, too. We are confident that you will find both Ephraim and Brookside Lane Cottage to be convenient to Door County’s bountiful beauty, recreational opportunities, and entertainment.
Note: Two of the 4 bedrooms are on the main floor and are conveniently located near a full bathroom (King bed, Queen bed) . Upstairs are 2 additional bedrooms (Queen, and Queen) and second bathroom. Please note that this is a smoke-free home and yard. To respect those of us with allergies, we do not allow pets.

Quiet oasis

We just loved our stay in Ephraim. Our daughter-in-law had never been to Door County and what a perfect introduction. The proximity to peninsula state Park and walks to Ephraim where an added plus. There was something for everyone including quiet space for reading, outdoor fire pit for lively conversations. We will be back !

Great Place to Stay

We stayed for Labor day weekend with the whole family. Wife and I and 4 kids. House was fully stocked and had everything we needed. John and Gera were very generous hosts. Would definitely stay in their home again if we came back to Door County. We only used the upper rooms but there's plenty of room and space in the House. Home is beautiful and lots of light in sun room and dinning room!

We loved our visit to beautiful Door County and especially to this charming cottage. Very cute and clean. The location was great. Loved that it was in walking distance to the water, shops and restaurants. It was a great choice for spending time with family and friends. The host was great about responding quickly and leaving instructions for everything we needed to know. Would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Door County Getaway

Stayed here for a week near end of August. Family group with 4 adults. Very convenient location, short walk to the bay shore and downtown Ephraim. The house was very clean and well-equiped. Even the grill and grill tools were clean. Nice layout, we spent alot of time in the sun room for family social time or just hanging out reading a book. It is located on a nice private lot with beautiful gardens, good size back yard, deck and fire pit. We did not need to communicate much with the owner/manager, but they were prompt and helpful throughout the experience when we did have questions. Won't go through all the great stuff to do in DC, you can find that out easily if you do not already know. Weather was cool but dry, so we did alot of outdoor activities. The week went by in a hurry! Overall, was a great experience. Would do again if we get the opportunity.

Wonderful accommodations!

Brookside Lane Cottage was everything we had hoped for for our vacation to Door County. The cottage was clean, very conveniently located, and had all the amenities we needed. Lisa was very helpful when we needed help with something. There was ample space in the house and the grounds were immaculate and beautiful. I would definitely stay there again if we get back to Door County. Not a single complaint!

Cozy cottage

We couldn’t be more pleased with this property. Lovely location only a block from Eagle Bay and within walking distance of all the shops and restaurants in Ephraim. John and Gera were so welcoming and kept in touch with us to make sure all was well. The cottage is beautifully appointed, very clean and so cozy.

Sister's getaway plus niece

Your home rental…

We had a great time in this place. The house was clean and the back yard was very nice ( only one suggestion, the rental should include bed sheets, pillow cases and towels . ( It is awkward to travel with these items) There also wasn’t enough toilet paper.

The perfect quiet getaway

Eight members of our multigenerational family ages 11 months to 68 stayed together at the Brookside Cottage. The listing was exactly as described, a quiet and well taken care of cottage just off highway 42 in Ephraim. We all had plenty of room to relax. Loved the bright sun porch, enjoyed meals together in the dining area and relaxed in the comfortable living room. The location was so convenient to everything Door County has to offer. Communication with the property owner was wonderful. Our families will definitely be looking for this property the next time we stay in Door County!
