Lake Cabin Resort Cabin 4 on Fife Lake

The Lake Cabins Resort provides a rustic getaway with modern amenities for your hiking, biking or boating vacation. The resort accommodations include the Lake House and 6 log cabins. along with complimentary use of our kayaks and paddle boards. Our resort has 100 ft of private beachfront along all sport, 617 acre Fife Lake, which is known for its great fishing and water sports. A short drive to Traverse City, Kalkaska and Cadillac put Fife Lake in the center of it all, with the Boardman River to the north and the Manistee River to the south. Whether you are looking for a getaway for 2, or a place to host a large gathering, The Lake Cabins Resort has something to fit your needs.

The resort was built in the early 40’s and has lots of local history with the people and families that have enjoyed the resort in years past. We have restored the full log cabins with new kitchens and many upgrades that make for a great vacation spot. Fife Lake was voted best inland lake in northern Michigan in 2014.

Our pristine beach is a great place to relax and soak up some sun. You can feel comfortable with the kids swimming off our beach as the water is shallow to the end of our dock. Boat rentals are available should you wish to tour the lake and find the eagles nests or loon’s nests. Beach area is closed the last weekend in September. Docks are removed for the winter.


Cabin 4 has 2 bedrooms and 1 futon that make out to a double beds. Sleeps 5 comfortably, 6 if the children are small. Approximately 350 square feet.

Comfortable beds. Large refrigerator and stove. Plenty of towels. Okay parking. Good shower pressure. Didn’t necessarily like the bathroom. Hard to get ready and access the mirror. But, what do expect from a cabin. Friendly owners. The thing I disliked was not really being able or comfortable to actually access the water/beach. There were 2 cabins and a house on the front on the beach area. Really not much room or access for the 4 front cabins. But, it was okay. Nice picnic table area and personal fire pit. A little too far from Traverrse City on my opinion to drive there daily from thisLocation. Overall not bad for camping/cabin life. Decent price.

Great cabin to stay!

My husband and I stayed in one of the cabins. Nice neighborhood, great amenities such as the kayaks. Clean beach area. Cabin was just as described. Clean and the owners are very nice! Would highly recommend.

Amazing spot!

This place was amazing on Fife Lake. The lake house and cabins were adorable. We enjoyed our cabin with comfortable beds, lots of space, and air conditioning. We will be back next year and already cannot wait!

Amazing girls weekend

My friend and I had an amazing time at the cabin. Nice walk to the lake, great beach area and we had a great time just floating. Each cabin has its own fire pit, which is really nice and you can get wood at the office for just $5 a bundle. Hoping to come back again this time staying in a big cabin with my family.

Nice,smaller, comfortable

Older cabins, small but comfortable with everything we needed. All was in working condition. It had air conditioning which we actually needed for the few days of 90+. The owner was fantastic to deal with, all camp rules clearly defined and nothing crazy. We have already made plans to come back. Highly recommend.

We were so worried about getting fined or having to pay for things left in the trash and fridge. We didn’t get to enjoy our time, because we were too worried about the rules. We even picked marshmallows up off the ground, because we were worried we’d get charged for that. Bring your own towels, if you take theirs outside it’s 10 dollars per towel. More like a prison camp

Great property and location for a family/friend group vacation. Cabins are clean and well stocked. Beach area for sand and water fun, with kayaks and paddle boards available. Multiple fire pits for evening campfires. The owners are super friendly and helpful!

Clean Cosy Stay in Cabin 4

The cabin was extremely clean, the kitchen was well stocked with utensils/cooking ware and had new appliances, the beds were comfortable and we slept well. It was a cozy cabin and the owners have done a remarkable job of efficiently organizing the space. Additionally, the owners were incredibly friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay in Cabin 4. For reference, we were three adults. Note: If you want a scenic view while using the firepit/picnic table for your cabin you want to select a cabin closer to the lake. There is a firepit on the beach but it is reserved for the house occupants when present.

Warm and welcoming

We loved our stay at this property! I met the owner, Jeff, on arrival - he was very friendly and welcoming. The cabin itself was clean and fully stocked with everything we could’ve asked for. It even has air conditioning, which we were grateful for because it was a little humid during our stay. We will definitely be back!

Absolutely loved it!

This is our first time staying at his cabin. It was absolutely perfect! It was both clean and accommodating. My kids fished all day every day, and it truly was a great experience. We will definitely come back!

Family Michigan Trip

This was a perfect fit for our large family. The cabins were clean and equipped with whatever we needed. We loved the view of Fife Lake. The beach area was nice and private with a variety of paddle boards and kayaks to enjoy. Beautiful weather and camp fires at night!
