Located in the centre of town it is conveniently situated for absolutely everything and the owners, Maria and Clive, are friendly, welcoming (as are their pets!) and they clearly love the building and the business. Breakfast was plentiful and well made which set us up for the day! I really enjoyed my stay there and look forward to returning. "

"We came during winter and had the place all to ourselves. The hotel facilities were closed and we had to check in and have breakfast at the hotel across the road. However it was totally worth it. The room was beautifully decorated with views from every window. Heating was fantastic, firm mattress, brand new renovated bathroom, and the best cookies. The town is across a small bridge and was so picturesque. "

"From the moment we arrived, to the moment we left, we had nothing but friendly attentive service from the staff at the pub. We were fortunate to be upgraded from a room in the pub to one of the relatively new lodges. The lodge was immaculate on arrival and very comfortable and well equipped. We had breakfast included and this was first class with locally sourced food included. We had two evening dinners at the pub and both were excellent from the very varied menu on offer. "

Due to the rural and old nature of the pub, it was a little dusty and probably in need of a lick of paint, but this certainly shouldn’t deter people from staying. It was everything we needed during our stay!"
