"We did a room upgrade, well worth it. Great reception for dogs. Great quality breakfast. Dogs can't come in the breakfast room but table is laid in the bar, which is nice with view over the garden. We like this hotel, bit more expensive but well worth it"

"Stayed for 2 nights on Sat & Sun 6-8th December. We were greeted with a very busy pub but extremely attentive staff who could not do enough to make us feel welcome. The room was well furnished with a retro vibe. If I am being over critical, I would say that the carpet in the room could do with a clean and the bathroom needs a bit of an upgrade. "Lovely setting for an overnight stay after a 5 hr drive. Great food and lovely staff. Didn’t like the flimsy plastic party glasses in the room. Glass or solid plastic one are more in keeping and more useable. "
