"We stayed at this property for five nights while visiting Cape Town. The room was nice. It had doors that separated the sleeping area from the living area. The doors had little stops behind them to prevent them from opening all the way. I am not sure why that was. I think the stop should be moved so that they’re all the way against the wall and the doors can open completely. "Can’t recommend this hotel enough. We had such a lovely stay. The rooms were huge and the balcony was a huge added plus. Everyone working there was so friendly and went out of their way to help us. The location is beyond perfect- it’s super safe and walkable to the V&A and Oranjezicht market. Some reviewers negatively compared it to the neighboring Queen Victoria hotel, but we actually preferred how close the Dockhouse is to the pool area. We’ll definitely stay again on our next trip to Cape...

Although we did eat breakfast once at the sister hotel (Victoria & Alfred) which is on the waterfront, we preferred the Manor House for its boutique feel and calm atmosphere. The location is completely safe which enabled us to walk around without concern day or night. Excellent breakfast."
