"First of all, the room was silent, which is a huge positive. Really quiet and peaceful. The ‘king size’ bed is an insult to customers intelligence. Pushing two single beds together and calling it a king size should be criminalised. Properties like this are charging premium prices for facilities, and then providing some hashed excuse which barely ticks the boxes. The internet access is generous and works well. Good traditional restaurant and bar. Good parking, and eye candy across the road for yachties. Standard room clean, quiet, and comfortable, with fridge and iron, and better-than-average tea/coffee making. Bathroom a bit on the small side, and plumbing rather tired, but not a problem."

"Beautiful historic mansion. We walked thru nearby parks to the riverfront for lunch. The outdoor restaurant at Orange Grove was very pleasant for an evening dinner and happy hour. The admiral lounge is very comfortable while waiting for pickup to go to the airport or cruise ships."

"The hotel in certain area’s is being renovated which didn’t effect our stay even though we had to pass through part of it to get to our room . Wasn’t a problem. Our room was immaculately kept . Housekeeping would have extra work to do keeping areas clean but they are keeping on top of it . Well done . Breakfast was great with a good choice . I managed to get parked on the front which was handy . We had an excellent stay . Would definitely stay there again."
