Start with Falmouth Harbour, one of the deepest natural harbours in the world, where you can watch the boats, take a ferry across the estuary, or join a scenic boat trip along the coast. Fishing trips, wildlife watching, and ferries over to the beautiful harbour town of St Mawes are all on offer. The town is also home to the National Maritime Museum Cornwall, which tells the story of the region’s seafaring heritage and makes a fascinating visit for all ages.

For beach lovers, Gyllyngvase Beach is just a short walk from the centre, perfect for swimming, paddleboarding, or simply relaxing with an ice cream. Other nearby coves such as Swanpool, Castle Beach and Maenporth offer a more peaceful setting. Both Gylly and Swanpool are home to some fantastic eateries that are not to be missed!

Getting Around:
Due to the remote nature of Cornwall, we would usually advise bringing a car for your stay. However, as the apartment is located in central Famouth it benefits from great travel connections. Trains run into the centre of town which are available all the way from London Paddington. There is also a good bus network to connect you with the wider area, as well as ample taxis.
