Luxury holiday cottage set in the beautiful south Cornwall village of Flushing

Situated in the heart of the picturesque village of Flushing, this charming fisherman's cottage has been completely renovated in 2021 and is perfect for families and couples alike. Flushing itself is ideal for those wanting everything within easy reach.
The cottage itself is ideal for 4 with 2 bedrooms and two shower rooms. The homely cosy sitting room has all of today's modern comforts. The house is fitted with efficient smart heating to keep you toasty on windswept days. There is a fabulously comfy sofa to recline on, two comfortable chairs, a smart TV, plenty of books on the local area and even OS maps so you can plan your adventures (of which there are many within easy walking distance).
The kitchen has all the mod-cons you need to rustle picnic lunches to dinners with friends. The table sits up to 6 people and is a perfect place to while away an evening. Walk through the patio doors to the garden which is a sun trap to while away an afternoon reading a book.
The master bedroom has a large king-size bed with traditional shutters and a window seat to watch the world go by. The second bedroom is a twin room with the original floor boards restored. All the beds have top quality cotton Egyptian linen, lamb's wool blankets and sumptuous cushions.
Both bathrooms have walk in showers and come complete with a heated towel rail to keep towels warm and fluffy. The bottom bathroom also has a butler's sink perfect for wetsuits (or babies).
Outside you will find a charming garden with outside lighting, chairs and table, gas BBQ and lots of herbs that you can use for cooking. The garden is ready for alfresco meals or to enjoy sundowners after a long day on the beach.
A travel cot and high chair are available - you'll just need to let us know and bring your own linen for the cot with you.

Lovely weeks stay in stunning cottage

We had a great weeks stay at the cottagr, myself & 2 children. House was fantastic, had everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Lovely little village and some great walks to be had.

We know Flushing well and love staying there. Short ferry trip to Falmouth, it had it own little food shop and three eating places

Super cottage in a lovely billage

The cottage is very well appointed, everything you could possibly need. Good kitchen, 2 good bathrooms, all very comfortably furnished. A real gem is the little garden, great to relax in the evening sun with the smell of roses in the air! Thanks for a great stay

Beautiful cottage near Flushing Harbour

We stayed here for a week, but all agreed we could live there forever. Beautifully decorated, comfortable, clean & everything you need. Close to the harbour to get ferry rides, 2 pubs, and restaurants all next to the harbour. And a little store round the corner for shopping. And the host is wonderful & friendly.

Everything we dreamed of

Our stay in beautiful Albatross was everything we had wished for and dreamed of. Jackie had made everything very easy for us, and the cottage was lovely, clean and inviting. We have had a wonderful holiday and enjoyed every minute. We also loved Flushing, the ferry trip to Falmouth, the Flushing Store and The Riverside pub/restaurant. We give this place 10+ stars.

Great place to stay to explore Cornwall

The holiday home is equipped to a high standard and the layout was suitable for us (3 adults). It was pleasantly quiet (no noise from the road or the neighbours). The village has everything you need and you can set off on walks along the coast directly from the holiday home. The location is good for trips to the famous gardens. Communication with the landlord was easy. All in all, a very successful holiday.

Ein sehr hübsches gemütliches Cottage, das mit allem ausgestattet ist, was man für einen schönen Urlaub braucht. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das gemütliche warme Bett und die dicken, weichen Handtücher. Obwohl das Haus direkt an der Straße liegt, ist es super ruhig in der Nacht. Die Kommunikation mit Jackie war sehr angenehm. Sie hat uns viele Tipps gegeben für Ausflüge und Restaurants.Wir hatten trotz schlechten Wetters einen sehr entspannten Urlaub im wunderbaren Flushing. Bei schönem Wetter hätten wir sicher auch den sehr gepflegten und geschützten kleinen Garten zum Grillen genutzt. Ein Hinweis: Wenn man ein altes Häuschen am Meer bucht, sollte man wissen, dass es dort schon mal leicht muffig riechen kann. Das hat uns aber schon nach dem ersten Tag nicht mehr gestört.

Simply perfect

Fantastic location, lovely cottage, clean, high standard of decor, linens, towels etc. Good powerful showers, This is the fifth time that we’ve stayed in Flushing, each time at different houses. This one we would be happy to stay at again. Great communication from the owner and some well thought out things such as a second set of keys. The courtyard is a sun trap, and despite the high winds outside, the courtyard was still and peaceful. If you haven’t booked yet, what are you waiting for, you won’t be disappointed.

Liebevoll gesraltetes Kleinod in altem Fischerdorf

Wir haben und in dem Häuschen sehr wohl gefühlt. Sogar ein kleiner Garten gehört dazu, den wir völlig vergessen hatten und uns um so mehr darüber gefreut haben. Die Eigentümerin hat sich sogar extra erkundigt, ob alles okay ist. Nach einer Woche wurden sogar die Handtücher und Bettwäsche getauscht. Rundum zufrieden!!

Beautiful house for a relaxing vacation

The cottage is very cozy, lovingly decorated, and welcoming. You feel comfortable immediately and can relax wonderfully. The kitchen is fully equipped, so you can easily self-cater. There are two bathrooms with showers and a washing machine. In the beautiful garden, you will find a barbecue and comfortable seating. The house is located in a very quiet area. Flushing is a pretty little village with a small shop, restaurant, and pub. From here, you have a perfect starting point for hikes and trips to the surrounding area. The contact with the landlady is very nice. We felt very comfortable and will definitely recommend the cottage.

Family Holiday

We had a very enjoyable stay in Flushing. The cottage was cosy and comfortable and had everything we needed, we were particularly pleased with the over abundance of fluffy pillows and loo roll! Jackie was super helpful with advice about the area and really made sure we felt welcome with all the information and a bottle of chilled wine. Although parking directly outside the cottage wasn’t always available (as advised) it was easy enough to find a space in the village and everyone was kind and friendly, so not a problem at all. Highly recommend and would very happily return. Thankyou for a lovely holiday.
