Room seemed clean. Pet friendly hotels / rooms shouldn't have carpet in my opinion. My wife said she slept fine. I didn't. My bed was a rock, and my pillow was firm and quite thick. Very nice hotel. Apparently pet-friendly means there's a $50 nonrefundable deposit. Other pet owners didn't abide by the rules, allowing their dogs to howl, being alone and all. Clean and comfortable otherwise.

The breakfast was fresh and plentiful. The staff was professional and hard-working. Our room met our high standards for cleanliness. Parking was easy. I was able to park directly in front of the lobby entrance.

We really enjoyed our stay! It was a unique property with so much history in it. The views were incredible! The drive can be a little daunting for those of us not used to it but we made it fine in a couple of mid size suvs.
