Delightful Detached Cottage close to Exeter, Dartmoor and the coast.

Longwool cottage is a delightful detached two bedroomed property in the village of Longdown just outside of Exeter. The cottage is situated within a typical English country garden near to the main family house and is approached via a private driveway.

The cottage comprises a tiled entrance porch with quaint gate. The front door opens onto a central hallway with tiled floor. The lounge, bedrooms, bathroom and kitchen open onto the hallway. The lounge is tastefully furnished and has a wood burning stove. There is one double bedroom and one twin bedroom. Both feature matching quality beds, wardrobes and side tables. The bathroom features Victorian style fittings and fixtures and includes a bathtub and a shower unit. The kitchen is fully fitted with dishwasher, washing machine, fridge freezer, hob and oven, microwave and small appliances. There is an oak table with four chairs.Outside, there is a private outside garden/decking area with a masonry barbecue and table tennis. The cottage is superbly placed for visiting Exeter, Dartmoor and the coast

Nice stay

We had a nice stay in this small and cosy house!The equipment in the house was perfectThere was a lot to see in the environment, Exeter, nice little towns and villages near the sea arms. Buckfast Abbey, and we've made some nice walks in the big Dartmoor nature reserve, at the Steps Bridge, and at the Haytor Tor.But also the sitting area outside the house was a nice place to be.So we had a nice stay there!

Good location for seeing places around Devon

We wanted a quiet cottage to use as a base for visiting places around Devon and this cottage was great for that, with good access to main roads. The cottage was great: clean, comfortable, everything we needed for a family of four. I would definitely recommend it.

A relaxing stay

Close to nature, in the middle of a large natural garden with chickens and cats. Very friendly, helpful and communicative hosts. A great starting-point for Dartmoor, Exeter and the south coast.

Schönes undgut gelegenes Cottage / Beautiful cottages in good location

(Enlish below) Wir haben uns in diesem Cottage sehr wohl gefühlt. Des begann bereits bei Empfang - der Vermieter hat uns alles ausführlich erklärt und Tips gegeben. Das Cottage war sauber, gut eingerichtet und bot Platz genug für eine Familie mit 2 Teenagern. Das Cottage ist gut gelegen für Ausflüge nach Exeter, ins Dartmoor und die ganze Umgebung. Allerdings braucht man, ein Auto. Gerne empfehlen wir diese Unterkunft weiter! We felt very comfortable in this cottage. It started with the welcome - the owner explained everything to us in detail and gave us tips. The cottage was clean, with everything we needed and had enough space for a family with 2 teenagers. The cottage is well located for exploring Exeter, Dartmoor and the wider area. However, you need a car. We definitely recommend this accommodation!

Every facility one could ask for. Sadly the location, although delightful, meant driving all the time. Excellent pub in nearest village but still not close enough for us,
