"It was great for what we needed at the time. Room was clean, although the bed was a little bit creaky. Staff were amazing. The bar had loads of character, it’s a pity there was no food available on the Monday night we stayed. Breakfast was delicious, full English. We will definitely stay there again"

"The location was great with a lovely sea view. All the staff were pleasant especially Josh who helped with bags . My only complaint is the standard of the room. It's very dated and needs TLC . Plaster falling off some of the walls. No bedside tables. Old shower curtain. Also breakfast was extra. We spoke with other people who was staying at another hotel cheaper rate with breakfast included. I wouldn't book again."

"From arriving to departure the owner and staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. We went B&B, plus evening meal, which was well worth it. Big mention to three of the staff Will, Osian “Fish” and Willow who really went out of their way to make sure our 3 night stay was very memorable. Will definitely be trying the sister hotel in Dolgellau in the near future."

"Nice comfy room with a sea view, comfortable bed, super friendly staff, a nice pub and good breakfast in a great location. Also parking was free :) there were just minor things to improve - the door handle in the bathroom was loose as well as the temperature setting in the shower. Also internet was unstable so if you wanna stream something, its almost impossible. We had room 12 on the third floor, which we didnt mind, but consider if youre older or require accessibility :-)"

"Safe, clean, quiet, and cosy. A quaint walk from the train station. My only issue is that I found the room to be quite cold with no way to adjust the temperature myself. There is no staff on the property, so not an easy fix. "

Very un-green: no double glazing anywhere I saw. Room cleaning skimpy - glass shelf over sink always left unwiped, tea provisions not topped up adequately, bath not wiped round. Food excellent quality, well prepared. More choice of breakfast buffet items would be welcome. If you are solo and book in advance for dinner, be aware that you might...
