"great location, characterful old property"

"Rooms are fine, poor restaurant but reception staff I would say that if were nobody would be even a better experience. I won’t repeat There’s no transfer to the airport and if you need a taxi, good luck! And don’t ask at reception, no help at all"

"I enjoyed everything I hope to come back again"

"Arrived on Sunday evening. Had been held up at an engagement but had a table booked during my journey for 20.45. Arrived at the pub/reception at 20.53 (booking line stated I had a 15 minute grace period). Told rather rudely that the kitchen had closed ages ago. I pointed out that I'd booked a table for 20.45 to which the reply was 'well it's now 20.53'. I stated that the booking said there was a 15 minute grace period and I had been stuck in traffic during my 2 hours drive, so couldn't help...

"Nice hotel, and fast check in. The location is convenient if you fly to / from East midlands. Wifi was not working this time, but for sure this can be improved"

"No estaría mal que hubiera máspersonal que hablara español."

"Hotel agradable, limpio y comodo"

"George and his staff were excellent, very helpful and lovely hosts. Our top floor room was fabulous, with a huge comfy bed and roll top bath, luxury! Would definitely stay again."

"Very clean and well kept property. Friendly and helpful staff. Our dog stayed with us at no extra charge and the overall price was excellent value. As they do accommodate pets, it maybe an idea to have external litter bins. Apart from that our stay was great and we will be back."

"The staff were excellent and very chatty and made you feel really welcome"
