The whole house — three king suites, sleeps 6

Nest & Ember is a three-bedroom cabin on Fightingtown Creek in Epworth, a short drive from downtown Blue Ridge. The yard runs down to the water — wide, deep and trout-fishable right from the lawn.

THE HOUSE
Two levels, each with its own full kitchen and living room, so two families can share the house and still find a quiet corner. Three king bedrooms, each with its own private bathroom, plus a half bath upstairs. A cozy nook on the lower level — our speakeasy-style hideaway — makes a den for the kids. Sleeps 6.

UPPER LEVEL
A vaulted great room with a gas fireplace, open to the kitchen with island seating and a stone wall behind the range. A window nook with four chairs. The main king suite has a glass walk-in shower and double vanity. The covered upper deck has lounge chairs, a gas fire table, outdoor dining and a grill.

LOWER LEVEL
A second living room with a fireplace and a shuffleboard table, and a second full kitchen with a farmhouse sink. Two more king suites, one opening onto the lower deck.

OUTSIDE
The covered lower deck holds the hot tub and an electric cedar barrel sauna. A gravel path leads down to the fire pit and Adirondack chairs, and the lawn runs to Fightingtown Creek.
