Welcome to Collings Log House, hosted by Simple Life Rentals! This log home is located within walking distance to the beach, shops, restaurants and everything the Village of Ephraim has to offer. Drive to Fish Creek, Sister Bay and all of Door County in minutes. This open-concept log home sleeps 7 people with two separate bedrooms, one bathroom, and a pullout couch for sleeping in the main living space. It features an updated kitchen that opens into the living room and is perfect for families! Enjoy the outdoors while relaxing on the patio.

This property allows up to 2 well-behaved dogs. There is an additional fee collected at booking.

3 minute walk to the beach (water is high this year so the beach is not as big as in other years)
Short drive to Peninsula State Park
Less than 10 minutes drive to Fish Creek and Sister Bay and less than 15 minute drive to Bailey's Harbor

Amenity + damage protection waiver includes:
-Bed linens, pillows, blankets, and bathroom towels. (Please bring your own beach towels)
-A starter pack of essentials which includes toilet paper, paper towel, dish soap, dishwasher soap, hand soap, and garbage bags. Due to septic systems, we do not provide facial tissue. One each of travel size shampoo, conditioner, and body wash per full bathroom.
-PEACE OF MIND Damage protection covers up to $1000 per stay for accidental damage that is reported prior to departure (excludes any pet damage).

Home Truths:
The property is located on the main street going through Ephraim and there are neighbors on either side of the home.

Indoor Fireplace is not available for use and there is no fire pit.

This property is located in a quiet community with neighbors and is geared towards quiet family vacations. Due to the proximity of neighbors and municipal restrictions, we cannot accommodate parties at the property including bachelor or bachelorette parties, reunions, weddings, or other gatherings.

My favorite Ephraim place to stay

Our family has stayed at Collings Log House multiple times. And we keep returning. Its location is perfect, surroundings serene, the cabin just the right size for us. With multiple visits, we feel like “we’re home” when we arrive. Communication is quick between the management and ourselves when needed. I’m now plotting when I can return….happiest holidays to you and yours.

Autumn in Door County

Perfect for small family getaway

We very much enjoyed our stay here! The rooms and outdoor space were lovely, with quick access to downtown Ephraim and the public beach. Check in and check out were straightforward and simple. Enough kitchen supplies were provided for a long weekend. Recommend bringing your own toiletries. We would stay again!

Memorial Week Stay

The space was great for two couples and our dog. This is a lovely location with a nice view of Eagle Harbor. We enjoyed the sunny front yard in the afternoon. The place was well stocked for cooking and grilling. Very quiet with easy access to other areas of Door County.

Lovely spot

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at the cabin, (we have also stayed in the little cabin on the property) and it will not be out last! We love the place, it is the perfect size, and thrilled with the location in Ephraim. I can't believe how fast our days went by and now I am already looking forward to the next trip up to DC and our next stay here. Thank you for helping to make it another memorable trip!

Sweet girls get away with my 79 year old mom.

Great property & location. Super clean. A little trouble sleeping as the water proof mattress cover was bothersome for me (sound & texture beneath sheets). But that is a very, very tiny thing & would still highly recommend this property & stay again. We also appreciate the labels on the light switches! GREAT place!!!

Great spot and great space.

The location is pretty much impossible to beat. Enough space for my family of five and a clean rental. It would have been nice to receive the welcome email more than 90 minutes prior to check in as there is pertinent information needed to enjoy one’s trip fully (such as you need to bring your own beach towels). Aside from that, everything was perfect!

We love this place! I will try to reach the owner directly next time we stay because we feel the fees charged for service fees and cleaning fees are over the top. If anything half of that should go to the owner. Overall our stay was flawless and happy we came and stayed at this location.

Sisters weekend

This was a great property in a great location off the main road. It is super cute inside, very clean, and as described. It had all amenities that we needed. We were walking distance into town and could take advantage of the old post office’s is fish boil. I will definitely try to stay at this property again in the future.

Very nice cottage and comfortable on the inside. Wish the property was on the lake instead of across the street with an obstructed view. Lastly, I’m hoping that we are able to retrieve the items we left hanging behind the entrance door. We have communicated that fact to the proper people.

Great Door County Location!

We had a great stay with our infant son at Collings Cottage. The cottage was well stocked with everything we needed and having access to laundry was great! The location is fantastic. It is a short walk to Ephraim's downtown and short drive to Fish Creek and Sister Bay. We loved our stay in Door County and would highly recommend Collings Cottage to anyone.

Cute, cozy, and clean

This place was so cute, cozy and clean and in a great location. The layout was nice and had a decent amount of space for my group. I was originally a little annoyed about the additional cleaning fee per pet per night but they definitely do a great job cleaning and you’d never know that pets have been there.

Perfect spot

The Collings Cottage was the perfect spot for our Door County get-away. Accommodations were very comfortable and perfectly sized for my wife and I. Kitchen was well equipped, even though we only made breakfast in the morning. Really appreciated the books and board games to fill the time relaxing.
