Todd & Andy McKee, The McKee Brothers, own and operate the Litch Hotel which is part of Eagle Cap Vacation Rentals. They both live in Wallowa County, near Enterprise and are available to be onsite quickly if a need arises.

Sawtooth is located in the historic Litch Hotel on the corner of Main Street and River Street in Downtown Enterprise. Enterprise is generally quieter and slower paced than its more famous neighbor Joseph. Many guests that stay in the Litch Hotel have noted their appreciation for this feature of the location. On the other hand Joseph is a short 10 minute drive away making it a convenient access point to the many outdoor adventures that our guests plan to enjoy during their stays.

Back in the day, the Litch Hotel had 11 apartments and just one bathroom on the 2nd floor (can you imagine?! 😅), but don’t worry — times have definitely changed! Now, you’ll have your very own private bathroom and kitchen, so no awkward run-ins while you’re making that midnight snack 🍕. The entryway outside your unit is the only shared space, so feel free to get cozy and relax however you like — no one’s around to judge your Netflix binges or late-night PJs! 😎🛋️

A large bathroom with tile floors and a rain shower inside a large stand up tiled shower. A hiking themed hand drawn mural adorns the wall and large sink and lit mirror provides more than enough space for make up application.

☆☆ KITCHEN, LOUNGE & DINING ☆☆

The kitchen is well appointed. New appliances and new quartz countertops provide ample of food prep space. Appliances such as a Keurig coffee maker, blender and toaster help make the kitchen meet every guests needs. 16 spices and olive oil ensure your meals will be full of flavor. A small dining table by the front window along with two dining chairs allows for a comfortable dining experience using locally hand made plates, bowls and coffee cups. The kitchen opens into a living room space that provides a comfortable leather sofa facing a large HD flat screen smart TV. The living room also includes a cool chair suspended from the ceiling that guests are able to sit on.

☆☆ OUTDOOR SPACE ☆☆

The front door opens on to River Street directly across from the historical Wallowa County building. Your just a short walk away from several eating establishments and just a short drive away from the Wallowa Lake and the many outdoor opportunities that the Eagle Caps offer. There is plenty of on street parking for guests in the block surrounding the Litch Hotel. In more than a year of operating the hotel, we haven't had a guest complain about not being able to find convenient parking.

Enterprise might be small, but it's big on charm! Here’s how to make the most of your time without getting lost (not that it’s easy to do here 😄).

Downtown? Just walk outside. Yep, you’re basically in the middle of it. 🏙️ Perfect for a leisurely stroll to grab a coffee or check out local shops. ☕🛍️
Joseph is just a short 10-minute drive away for those wanting a taste of small-town fun or the beauty of Wallowa Lake! 🚙🌲
Wallowa Lake is about 15 minutes by car, and trust us, it’s worth the trip for a day of lakeside adventures. 🛶🎣
Need supplies? No worries — the grocery store is just a stone’s throw away. Perfect for stocking up on snacks or dinner essentials. 🍔🍫
Parking? Easy peasy! Free parking is right outside, so no need to stress about finding a spot.
Not in the mood to drive? No problem! Enterprise is totally walkable, and biking around the area is always a great idea! 🚴‍♀️🌞

NOISE CONSIDERATIONS:

🔊NOISE CONSIDERATIONS: The Litch hotel is old and wasn’t built with modern soundproofing. You will hear sounds from adjacent units, whether above, below, or next door, as well as footsteps and movement on the stairs and in the hallways.

The Litch is designed for families, couples, and friends looking for a comfortable and fun place to relax after enjoying all that Wallowa County has to offer. However, if you’re looking for a place to have a bachelor party or kegger, this isn’t the right venue. Our goal is to create a welcoming environment where all guests can enjoy their stay without excessive noise from others. Most guests are consciousness which allows everyone to have a great time. Occasionally a loud knucklehead will stay next door.

We ask all guests to be mindful of the noise they make especially during stated quite hours so all guests can fully enjoy their time here. Thank you for understanding and for helping us preserve the peaceful charm of the Litch Hotel!

🐾PET-FRIENDLY UNIT NOTICE: Our unit welcomes guests with and without pets. While many visitors without pets have a great stay, we want to remind everyone that we cannot guarantee a dander-free environment. This may affect individuals with dog or cat allergies.

🐶PET POLICIES FOR GUESTS WITH PETS:

NUMBER OF PETS: A maximum of 3 pets allowed per reservation. Notify us at booking or as soon as possible if there are any changes.
💲PET FEE: A non-refundable fee of $30 per night for each pet is required, including for ESAs. This fee will be billed separately about a week before your visit.
BEHAVIOR AND ACCOMMODATIONS: Pets must be leashed in common areas, are not allowed on furniture or beds, and must not be left unattended in the unit.
CLEAN UP: Owners must clean up after their pets; supplies are provided under the kitchen sink for indoor mishaps.
DAMAGE AND LIABILITY: Guests are financially responsible for any damage or incidents caused by their pets. Owners will not be held liable for injuries or damages.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 CHILDREN: The Litch Hotel welcomes families, but due to the age and historic nature of the building, the property is not ideally suited for children under the age of 8. The building’s design, with thin walls and floors, allows sound to easily travel between units. Young children’s natural energy—running, jumping, and playing—can result in noise that significantly impacts the comfort of neighboring guests. If you are traveling with children under 8, we ask that you carefully consider whether the Litch is a good fit for your family’s needs. If you end up visiting, please understand the unique nature of the property and ensure your children are mindful of noise levels throughout your stay.

🔑CHECK-IN: Anytime after 3:00 PM. Early check-in options available:

COMPLIMENTARY: Call after 12:30 PM on your arrival day if the unit will be ready prior to 3:00 we are happy to let you in early.
GUARANTEED: Pre-arrange early check-in for $20/hour starting as early as 1:00 PM.

⏰CHECK-OUT: Required by 11:00 AM; late check-out available at $20/hour.

🚭NO SMOKING: Smoking is prohibited within the condo.

🎉PARTIES: Require prior approval.

🕧QUIET HOURS: 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM.

🛌BEDS: Our beds include medium-firm memory foam mattresses, which most guests love but occasionally a guest finds too firm.

📹SECURITY: A video doorbell is in place on the exterior of the entrance.

🚪ENTRANCE DETAILS: This unit's front door opens directly onto the main thoroughfare in Enterprise. Blinds provide complete privacy and street noise has not been a significant concern to past guests.

🪟VENTILATION: This condo doesn't have any windows that can be opened. We account for this in 3 ways, 1) a ductless AC/Heat mini split, 2) ceiling fan and 3) an air purifier.

🧺WASHER/DRYER: there is no washer/dryer on site. There is a laundromat about 2 blocks away and you we offer a wash/fold service as well (Details available in our guidebook).

2 night stay.I actually considered rating the accuracy of the online listing at just 4/5 because the pictures did not do the listing justice. It was so much better than the pictures. Vaulted ceilings. Wonderful, tasteful, thematic artwork.

Great decorations and cleanliness. Takes a bit to figure the heat and cool on the remote (hint: slide the lower section down to access the different modes). Take the property owners word when they say it is 110 year old building and you'll hear the neighbors above and on each side (we were there on the busiest weekend of the year). Only reason it isn't 5 stars is the noise level (remember this is a farming/ranching community so 5 a.m. wake up of traffic going by was daily and hearing the neighbors get back drunk from the rodeo late was no fun--again busiest weekend of the year). If you normally live in a city you probably will not notice but if you live rural/quiet and a light sleeper like us you will notice (they have ear plugs available on the kitchen counter). Neat place with super nice owners. I'll be implementing some of these decoration ideas at my own home. If you need a place to stay or looking for an experience while you stay this is the place. Easy walk to food, coffee and things to do or a short drive to great hikes or the lake!

Hubby and I stayed in the unit named Sawtooth. It has a camping theme and was fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. The kitchen was well stocked so you are able to cook all your meals if you so choose. It is only 600 square feet, but feels so much bigger. It was very clean and we absolutely loved how it was decorated.

We were blown away by the cleanliness, many amenities and extra consideration of every detail to make our stay more comfortable. We loved the mountain/camping theme and decor and the wall tent over the bed was an amazing added touch that makes it even cozier! We will definitely stay again.

The decor and attention to detail is top notch. Had everything you needed and mor. The extras for the pup were awesome, from a pet bed to dig treats, everything made the stay special. Excellent hosts.
