"Pros - great location, near pub and nice coffee shop. Short walk to beach. Cons - not very clean on arrival, mould problem in bathroom, strong damp smell throughout property. Had planned to cook but found mould growing on wooden spoons and cobwebs on the pans - so ate out instead! Having read through the comments in the visitor book we could see these issues had been raised several times, so it’s disappointing they haven’t been addressed. Would not stay again."

"I had such a lovely and relaxing stay in this charming cottage. It has a wonderful old-fashioned character and history while still having everything you need for a comfortable stay. "My family and I had a very enjoyable stay at Tern Cottage. It was very comfortable and had everything you would need for a longer stay (washing machine was particularly useful). We also had mid stay housekeeping which we were very impressed with. The location of the Cottage is extremely close to all the shops, seafront, park and train station. "We stayed at the stables for one week. The place was very beautiful and had all the facilities we needed, except for a coffee maker. The large kitchen with lots of utensils made it easy to prepare food. One minor detail was the lighting: in the evening, the available lights were quite bright. We are both in our mid 70's and my wife having had recent back surgery had a lot of difficulty climbing and descending 4 flights of very narrow stairs. Even I had trouble with them and I do not have big feet but I had to go down sideways. I am surprised they meet building standards.
