"Typical"

"Rooms were clean and the staff was friendly. I didn't like being approached as I was trying to leave after checking out by people from the street, sweating and wanting me to give them a ride. That made me feel a bit unsafe, and it was right outside the lobby where I checked out. I did raise a concern that some people were walking up, when I was checking out."

"Maintenance on the building is subpar for the price point. Fridge was frozen over in the room and froze the drinks I put in it. If the AC unit is at a super low temp when you enter the room…there’s a reason. Don’t make the mistake of turning it to a “normal” temp or you will end up sleeping in a swamp. Whatever disinfectant/cleaner they use smelled overpowering in the room. Door paint and bathroom caulking desperately needed attention. I was a single adult traveler and got put on the same floor...

"I booked a room, went to check in….hotel was paid for…lady at desk was extremely rude on 3-11 shift and said with extreme sarcasm that all rooms were booked regardless of a confirmation number. The desk clerk turned me away and said Expedia will reimburse me. Where is my reimbursement? Explanation needed please"

"I have always wanted to stay at The Hotel Bentley and finally had a chance. The lobby is beautiful, the restoration makes you feel as if you stepped back in time. The restaurant and the room that I stayed in, not so much. It's obvious where money was and wasn't spent. The check-in was great and the food in the restaurant was so good! I would definitely eat there again when I'm in town, just wished that the restaurant "felt" like 1908, definitely a missed design opportunity!"

"The air conditioner wasn’t working properly, my babies tossed all night due to being hot. The sheets had stains on them and the room smelled like animal urine. 0/10 do not recommend!!!"

"Beds very comfortable. All area was clean. Breakfast was not the best. Helpful staff."

"No hot tub Negatives: 1st room had a broken door knob. Then, we were moved, and had to have the key cards rescanned 3 times to get one that worked. Pool was nasty. Positives: room was clean, staff were nice, and breakfast was great."

"We got a suite and it was beautiful. We didn't know the fridge was gonna be a full size that was a nice surprise. And the kitchen sinks bigger then mine. Plenty of room for the 5 of us (nephews staying for the summer). Only con was the bathroom has a barn door style and we would of liked a little more privacy. But the room divider curtain was a nice touch."

"The staff were great and friendly. The room we had was horrible. There needs to be more upgrades and at least more cleaning in the rooms. My bathroom had wallpaper peeling off and rust and mildew in the bathroom. The carpet was wet. The ceiling had a water patch (if that’s the way you say it)."
