    Retreat to Goldfinch Cottage, a cozy rustic cabin in the woods! Just 20 minutes from downtown Ellijay, enjoy peace and privacy without steep, winding roads. This charming log cabin features a tin roof, stone wood-burning fireplace, and modern kitchen. Relax outdoors with a fire pit, Jacuzzi hot tub, BBQ grill, and private hiking trail to a tranquil finger of Carter’s Lake.



    The Space:

    Perfect little cabin in the woods! If you want peaceful and private surroundings but closeness to activities and festivities, Goldfinch Cottage is for you. There is close proximity to some of the best quality, award winning wineries in the eastern U.S. Even if you don't drink wine, they offer micro-brews, light fare, good entertainment and beautiful scenery. So pack a picnic basket, bring your dog (most are pet friendly) and support your local wineries!



    Goldfinch Cottage has the perfect rustic vibe with a tin roof, stacked stone wood-burning fireplace and modern amenity kitchen. GC offers an outdoor firepit, Jacuzzi hot-tub & BBQ grill, horseshoes & cornhole and a short 15 minute walking trail to finger of Carter's Lake!



    Come for a week or come for a weekend, we invite you to relax in solitude while rocking on our front porch, listening to the leaves and watching the natural wildlife pass you by.



    Another amenity we have to boast is a close proximity to some of the best quality, award winning wineries in the eastern U.S. Even if you don't drink wine, they offer micro-brews, light fare, good entertainment and beautiful scenery. Wonderful stay. Everything we needed to relax and enjoy the outdoors nearby. First time staying in a cabin and we loved it. Victor was very responsive from the management team.

Thoughtful touches and quiet retreat

Beautiful, quiet cabin. Comfortable beds and nice touches that show the owner clearly went out of their way to ensure our stay was nice. Hit tub was perfect. Grill was amazing. Location was ideal. We wanted to stay longer and will definitely be back again!

My partner and I really enjoyed our romantic weekend getaway staying at this wonderful cabin. Hot tub was the perfect size for two! The entire house was well stalked for all of our needs

It is a lovely secluded cabin! It was so clean and welcoming and the communication with the owners (Victor) was excellent. We went for a short get away weekend for some peace and quiet and this cabin delivered very well. As the owners indicated, it is off the beaten path (very accessible by car) and we did bring in the basics for breakfasts and dinners plus supplemented from our outing on Saturday. We were able to visit downtown Cartersville with small local business shops and dining, but could have as easily gone to Ellijay or Blue Ridge. Jasper is the closet town and we stopped at the grocery store there for supplies before heading to the cabin on Friday. The kitchen is well stocked with all the basics plus the toiletries in the bathroom were appreciated. Both the husband and I had a wonderful time and recommend this cabin if you want a good get away place to stay.

Awesome cabin

The Gold Finch cabin is a great place to stay for peace and quiet! The birds were all over the place along with several deer, chipmunks, squirrels! It was very clean and all the amenities along with a fully stocked kitchen! It was perfectly located in the mountains but only 18 miles from downtown Ellijay where there are great restaurants and shopping. We will definitely be going to that area either to vacation again or move to permanently! Highly recommend this cabin if you are looking for something tranquil!

Great Cabin

This was an excellent cabin, especially for a couple. Extremely well stocked and furnished. Internet and WiFi were great until weather showed up, of which no one has control. It was quiet and in a week we only saw people twice. Especially loved the candy jar. Will say I wish there was a better way to get into the cabin other than the 25 stairs but I don’t see how it could have been built any different. We loved our time there.
