Looking to escape the city lights and see bright stars for a few days?

This private log home is nestled among the maples, cedars, spruce, and birch trees. The landscaping is beautiful with three gardens for your pleasure with flowers that bloom from spring to fall. It also has a fire pit that looks out over the lake that you can enjoy during a beautiful sunset.

Make the Bayside Log Home your vacation home this year. It has 225' of shore frontage with its beautiful sunsets. Enjoy the wind blowing through your hair while gazing upon the water.

There is a sandy public beach for swimming and fishing within walking distance of the home as well.

This property has been rented for 10 years but we had to create a new page this year hence the reason for limited reviews. In the past, our place was a 4.6 star.

First let me say this is our second summer in this house…The property is amazing to house a bunch of adults … no rooms full of bunk beds thank you! The add on to the house is very confusing when it comes to turning on lights and fans, like it is in other rooms to make it happen. It would be great to have instructions. Not all remotes worked in bedrooms for televisions, frustratingA few of the lounge chairs and umbrella holders were rusted and falling apart, could use a little face lift in the outdoor decor Outdoor space is awesome and the pool is ideal to hang out Guest house is a great space for the fam with the infant but the ac unit is a bit loud and fan clicks constantly when you turn it in and the door auto lock is tricky, we could not get in one night and had to call management.The location to grocery store, bait shop, convenience stores and boat rentals is close and convenient

Ideal location!

Wonderful property with great sunset views. Very clean and well appointed. Plenty of outside seating and tables. Owner was very responsive. Highly recommend this place. It was a great, relaxing getaway.

Breathtaking Views

The jewel of this rental is it's location. It was so peaceful. The lake view and sounds of the waves lapping on shore provided us many hours of relaxation as we simply sat by the lake and listened, or enjoyed morning coffee as the sun rose. My husband really enjoyed the fire pit. The cabin is a bit dated and could use some refreshing, but overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Lightning issues

My major complaint about the property would be poor first floor lighting and multiple light switches that didn’t work. I was always unhappy with the fact that I had to provide my own towels. This fact should have been highlighted better.

Home away from home

From the minute we walked thru the door we felt comfort. There is plenty of room for activities and sleeping and relaxing. The views are breathtaking. Lots of outdoor furniture and 2 fire pits. The kitchen is well equipped and very clean.There is only one bathroom but big enough. We will definitely be back. You won’t be disappointed!!!

Great cabin in an outstanding location!

My wife and I had a really nice time at this truly fine log cabin. Clean and comfortable and a perfect location. We enjoyed beautiful sunsets every night. Owner was easy to reach and helpful. We would definitely come back!

Great location - amazing views!

Cozy home in a great location. It was really a bonus for us to be able to bring our dog. Communication with owners was easy and they were very responsive when we needed to turn the heat on. Several light fixtures on walls don’t connect to lights so in the beginning it took a few moments to figure that out but again owners responded quickly. Watching the sunset at night was magical. They have plenty of outdoor chair options for guests to use so even though we brought some chairs just incase we didn’t need them. Bedrooms did have a bit of a musty smell when the house got closed up and the heat turned on. The home is very clean so we chalked it up to probably end of season and lots of different pets. Thanks for offering a nice home where we could bring our dog - it was a great vacation!

Great quiet getaway

Beautiful setting on the lake. Quiet, secluded, very private. Nice place, very clean. Could tell it was well maintained. We enjoyed our stay very much. One small issue was we believed that there was a outside grill but there was not. We adapted, but others may not. Overall a great relaxing stay.

Amazing view

We loved staying here. Close to the Door County Triathlon in Murphy Park. Loft beds were a little warm - the AC had a hard time keeping up. Cannot beat the view! Perfect place to watch the sunset and then enjoy the fire pit. Hoping for some water toys for the next visit :)

This was our second time staying at this cabin, so it works well for us as a home base in Door County, and we're already talking about our next stay there. We like the space the outdoor access to the water, and the number of beds and sleeping options. Cabin was clean and comfortable, and we have nadw some great family memories there.

Paradise

Whatever you see in the picture and description of the property is accurate but even better in person. The sunset is amazing, along with the sounds of the water and nature. You can see different kind of birds crossing and my 2 corgis had so much fun barking on them thinking they can catch up. Water was cold but that did not stop my fur babies from swimming. My daughter and I did the "cold plunge" but ended up swimming because it was actually tolerably cold and refreshing. We spend our days outside grilling, playing corn holes and board games. We tried fishing but we were not lucky. The place is very private and solemn. We love the pier, especially early morning, great space to meditate and "reflect", lol. At night, we enjoyed bonfires. The inside of the house is like from a storybook, very "homey" and relaxing. There were a lot of books around the house to read. TV and wifi were okay. We were supposed to explore the town but we were just content staying home and enjoying this paradise. We are a family of 4 with 2 corgis and we had a lot of fun! Thank you for sharing your beautiful property!

Idilic Bayfront Log home

Thoughly enjoyed the accommodations and you can not beat the view. Just far enough away to enjoy the peaceful setting but close enough to all that Door County offers. Would stay again.

Just Perfect

When our family walked up we were instantly in love! The cabin is a mixture of quaint and modern with AMAZING VIEWS! The gardens were absolutely stunning against the home and view! Our only recommendation would be to have access to a washer and dryer being on a lake you do go through some times of need to dry or wash. We would definitely stay again! Thank you so much for allowing our fur kids, too! They had never gone with us on a vacation and they LOVED being on the water! We will be coming back!

Lovely view

Very cute cabin setting. Awesome view of Lake Michigan. Stunning sunsets. Plenty of sleeping space for larger families. We have six people and it was very comfortable. The place does need a good cleaning to remove spider webs and bugs. The bathroom needs some updating. The location in Door County is excellent. We really enjoyed having a fire every day in the fire pit and enjoying the outdoor space.

Great location in Door County

We really enjoyed our fall weekend here! Great location just south of Egg Harbor - close to everything Door County has to offer but still felt secluded. Beautiful stone beach just steps from the house with stunning views. Great cabin for kids as they really enjoyed the loft. Cabin was clean and nicer than the pics indicate. Kitchen wasn’t as well stocked as other rentals but still able to cook what I’d planned. Hope to be back next year!
