Stay in one evening and make a feast for your small group or walk to one of the restaurants located less than a block away. The Retreat community pool is open seasonally and is generally closed from October - April.
Smoking is strictly prohibited on-site.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 3 vehicles.



Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 25 years of age to book. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.

Short SB getaway

Location was fantastic. We appreciated being able to park our vehicle for duration of our stay and just walk places. Unit was perfect size for us—enough space to hang out together pre and post beach time, and utilized the outdoor space as well. Definitely will stay here again.

We had a great time

We had a good time, but was surprised there were no supplies in the house. One garbage bag, one roll of paper towels, no beach towels. All other places we've stayed had a lot of these items.

Hurricane Haven

We arrived under threat of a hurricane, which luckily for us landed farther north; but it brought two nights and a day of driving rain. Managers gave an honest assessment of flood potential and volunteered to take care of our car, which turned out unnecessary. The condo itself was compact and well-designed every room had a window. Porch with rocking chairs is a plus. Some minor maintenance issues included broken blind cords and a dishwasher that had not been properly reinstalled. But everything else was fine and comfortable for a week's getaway in a family-oriented beach town with limited facilities,

Unit needs major updates and cleaning

We were very disappointed when we first opened the door. Mattresses were sunk and needed replaced. Couches and chairs were badly stained so we had to put our towels so we would not sit on the furniture. Showers were rusted and bakeware could not be used so we ate out the entire time. We did contact Vacasa and they sent someone to try and clean but the overall condition of this unit was horrible. I usually would not do a bad review but I do not want someone else to come and pay money for the condition. Would not stay or recommend to ever stay here again.

Great location and stay!!

This is the perfect location for a trip to Edisto. The condos are a very short walk across the street to the beach. There is a nice pool on the property. Everything in the condo was nice - my only complaint is that the clocks were all wrong due to the time change, some of the kitchen dishware was dirty, and a few lights were out. The condo was very spacious. Great walking distance to restaurants and shops on the island.

Quiet Beach Getaway

The Retreat was conveniently located to the beach, restaurants and stores. We could walk to all of the above. We enjoyed our stay and the condo had plenty of room to relax, eat meals and enjoy each others company.

Christmas on Edisito Island - perfect

Great Beach Getaway!

My daughters, mother and I stayed at Retreat 7A for four nights during the week of Thanksgiving. We all loved the layout of the house and the cute beach decorations. There was a power surge before our arrival which caused the thermostat on the water heater to burn out, leaving a very strong burnt plastic smell. The property management team was awesome! We had a new thermostat and an odor eliminating canister within no time. Additionally, one of the smoke detectors was beeping and the team came out immediately and changed the batteries. We were super impressed with the property management! The only suggestion that we would have for the home is improved cookware...the pots and pans were in pretty bad shape and there was an overall lack of serving dishes. We purchased disposables from Bi-Lo, but it would have been lovely to use real dishes. There was one large Pyrex that we used for macaroni and cheese. Overall, we loved our stay and really enjoyed the porch in the mornings! Thank you!

GREAT Location! Beautifully Decorated!

Fantastic location! The condo was beautifully decorated. The kitchen was fully stocked... all the way down to an ice cream maker and popcorn machine! (Neither of which we used but they were available). We could tell this condo is well loved. The four star rating comes because there are some things that need fixing: microwave handle was broken, railing towards the top of the stairs was wobbly, faucet in kitchen is so old it looks dirty, shower door in Master has buildup on the rubber closure strips that make it look dirty. Might be time to change out the mattresses soon. I slept fine but you could tell the mattresses were old or just standard. These are NOT complaints though. They are just helpful tips hopefully. We loved our stay! But I do need to say, if you have weak knees or trouble with stairs this condo is not for you! The stairs were tough to climb over and over. That would be the only thing keeping us from renting here again. If possible we’d rent a downstairs unit instead. There isn’t a view from up top so it wouldn’t matter if we were lower. Hope this review helps someone! Enjoy EdiSLOW! 😊
