University and Central Edinburgh

At the heart of the Edinburgh University and only 500m from the Royal Mile. Centrally located in a vibrant district close to all the main sites. It is a recently renovated and decorated flat with new kitchen and bathroom and solid oak flooring. There are great views to the rear where the bedrooms are situated of Arthur's Seat and Sailsbury Crags.

We are long term hosts but recently sold a one bed room apartment with over 70x5 star reviews and bought this 100m nearer to the city centre.
The space
Whether you're a tourist, parent or friend of an Edinburgh University student or an Edinburgh Festival goer this apartment is at the heart of the city.

A short walk from Waverley station or from the 300 Airlink bus route from the Airport makes this very accessible. Buses run to all parts of the city including the Royal Infirmary and Western General hospitals.

A spacious 2 bed apartment with sunrise views from both bedrooms to Edinbugh iconic Arturs Seat and Salisbury Crag.

Within 2 minutes of the front door we have great coffee shops, bars and resturants as well as a Tescos supermarket almost directly below.Guest access
You will have full access to the entire apartment. This consists of a kitchen living room, bathroom and 2 double bedrooms. The apartment is on the 3rd floor but this ensutes great views to Arthur's Seat.
Other things to note
We have has Airbnb apartments for 5 years here and in Rio de Janeiro and pride ourselves on our personal service. With us you will always be greeted personally and never just given the code to a key box. This way you can ask questions about the apartment and the city and we can be sure that you are happy with your apartment.

Host welcomed us upon arrival. Great little apartment, perfect for my daughter and I. We were there for a month. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and well heated - important in January! Well equipped kitchen and new appliances Walking distance to most anything you want to see. Every type of food imaginable available within a couple of blocks. We had a wonderful time, Edinburgh is an amazing city.

We absolutely loved our time at Alastair's property. Everything was impeccably maintained, with quality appliances throughout and some of the most comfortable beds we've experienced. The decor is beautifully done – it has that warm, homely feel that makes you want to curl up and stay forever. The location couldn't be better, whether you're exploring the city or getting children settled at the nearby universities. But what really made our stay special was Alastair himself. He went above and beyond as a host, sharing wonderful local tips and making sure we had everything we needed. We genuinely wish we could have extended our stay, but now we completely understand why this place is booked solid! If you get the chance to stay here, don't hesitate. Thank you for everything, Alastair – you're truly a gem!

Great apartment in a great location to see all the sights within Edinburgh.

A great apartment with lots of room to move around. It’s close to all the sights in the city and many really great restaurants. It had all the necessities we needed four our three nights stay. The hosts were lovely as well.

Great Location

Awesome stay in Edinburgh

Our host Alistair was amazing! He was super responsive - not just about the property but everything Edinburgh related. The location was fantastic - it was a short 15 minute walk to almost everywhere we wanted to go. The apartment was clean, comfortable and well appointed. The beds and linens were very cozy, coffee, tea and ice cubes were a lovely touch that was much appreciated. Lots of supermarkets close by that are open late for snacks and groceries. We would have stayed longer if we could have!!

Would happily stay again

The flat was clean and tidy and was perfect for the 4 of us. Beds were comfortable and really appreciated the washer for a few loads. Good communication with Alistair and he made recommendations for a fantastic Sunday roast. The location was great – only a 10 minute walk to the Royal Mile and yet felt a bit away from all the tourists. Lots of great restaurants really close by. Would happily stay again.

A perfect stay!!!

Alastair was a helpful, kind, generous host. His apartment was at the center of Edinburgh which was a plus for my family of five (all adults with different programs and needs). The apartment was cozy, with an organized kitchen, shampoo, and shower gel, and comfy mattresses. He let us check in earlier as we landed early in the morning which was polite. I recommend this apartment!!!!

A true home away from home

We had an amazing stay at Alastair and Katie's place. It was spacious and clean with everything we could have needed for our visit in Edinburgh. The beds were warm and cozy and our family of 4 had plenty of space to relax together on the couches after long days of walking the town. We enjoyed the local coffee and food shops as well as a beautiful park/playground for our 6 year old nearby. It was close enough to walk or take the bus to tourist attractions yet removed enough to feel quiet and tucked away from the crowds. Alastair was very accommodating with our arrival and departure schedule, allowing us to still get checked in and settled even while they were unable to meet us as planned. Our family time there will always hold a special place in our hearts and much of that is due to the hospitality we experienced in their home. Thank you!

Great location!

The flat looks exactly the way the pictures look and it was so homey and cozy. It's within walking distance of pubs, restaurants and shopping and Alastair was incredibly helpful and very prompt in his responses. Would definitely recommend!

Great location, great place, great host!

Alastair met us at the apartment promptly to show us around and offer advice for seeing Edinburgh. He was easy to talk to and very attentive. The place we very nice and gave our family a perfect place to wake up and chill at in the mornings and evenings. It was a short walk to the Royal Mile and nestled amongst several good coffee shops snd restaurants. We walked from the apartment to the peak of Arthur’s Seat for a spectacular view looking back at the town and on to the beach. Highly recommend this place and this host! Thank you Alastair! :)

Apartment was very comfortable, and had everything we needed. Neighborhood is busy, and so close/walkable to everything. Great views, good food nearby, helpful dining & atteaction suggestions from Alastair, and bonus points for a really well-chosen shelf of books.

Brilliant stay in Edinburgh

My friends and I stayed in this property for 3 nights and we couldn't fault it. Great location (few mins walk to the old town), looks exactly like in the pictures, clean and even things like coffee/sugar/shower gel all available. Although we've never met the owners in person (due to them being away during our stay) they were amazing, nothing was too much trouble and the communication from the minute of us booking the flat was great and reassuring. The only shame was that we couldn't stay longer!

Fantastic

We are a family of four adults. We wanted something that was within easy access to Edinburgh’s cultural center. It flat was clean and well appointed. Our family was very comfortable. The building was quiet, so we had a peaceful rest. Communication with the owner, Alastair, was fantastic. I so appreciated his reaching out and making sure our stay was comfortable. The only thing I would point out is, if a person has any knee/hip issues, this flat may not be the one for you. It is three flights up to the top floor.
