STAY | EXPLORE | UNWIND. “Traprain” cabin is part of 3 luxury five star bespoke cabins overlooking the Lammermuirs aimed at adults only. Situated close to North Berwick, rated one of the top places to live in Scotland. Our cabins are within walking distance of Tantallon Castle, the mid 14th century fortress ruin, the last medieval curtain wall castle to be constructed in Scotland and Seacliff beach, the stunning private beach situated on the farming estate with UK's smallest harbour.

Stunning location and a beautiful cabin

This is a cosy and quirky cabin set in fantastic scenery. It is compact and immaculately clean and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The views are stunning and we had couple of hares visit us on the patio at dusk which was magical.There’s lots to see and do in the surrounding areas.A really great place to relax and unwind and we would highly recommend it.

They put up birthday banners and had special items including balloons for my 50th! I spent most of my day resting up and enjoying my beautiful view!

Amazing property

The location of sea view cabin is amazing, waking up to that view every morning was perfection. The cabin was spotless cozy and warm, the attention to every detail was spot on. Communication with the host is on another level. We had the best time and can’t wait to return.

Cozy perfection

The cabin was clean, new, cozy and relaxing. The shower water pressure was great and the heating came in handy. Parking spot is right outside the cabin. Waking up to a spectacular, unobstructed view with the sound of birds chirping outside was iciing on the cake.

Relaxed and Feeling Good

Our stay was magnificent. The sea view property was worth the upgrade. Waking up to the water and sky was so beautiful. We enjoyed a meal on the patio. The host answered all our questions and requests so quickly, even while they were on vacation themselves. The property was so clean, and the details were so well done. This is a perfect vacation for a couple ready to relax. The bus system to North Berwick Main Street is not the most convenient, but we made it work. We even walked all the way into town one day! Thank you for memories we will never forget!

Beautiful getaway!

Booked for a second time as had the most amazing experience the first time. Perfect location with the castle, Seacliff beach and NB distillery in walkable distance. An immaculate accommodation, cosy and perfect escape. We will be back very soon!

Unglaublicher Seeblick auf das Castle und den Bass Rock

Wir waren 8 Tage im "BASS ROCK". Ursprünglich wollten wir ein uriges altes schottisches Cottage mieten, sind dann aber beim Suchen im Internet bei diesen kleinen Häuschen hängen geblieben - und sind überwältigt von der Lage, der modernen und mit viel Liebe und Geschmack eingerichteten Hütte. Such a beautiful place to stay, will absolutely come again. Very quiet, peaceful, lovely views. Plan ahead transportation - there is a cash only pre-book taxi company (£15 per ride or so) or drive in rental car. Great nearby restaurants I town. Quiet during the off season.

Little home whilst at a wedding!

Amazing, spotlessly clean and very different! Quirky stay. Would have loved to have spent more time enjoying the property but at a wedding most of the time we were there. Nice touches in the biscuits and bubbly provided for us. Would also recommend Drift for a lovely breakfast with stunning sea views!

Minimoon stay

Absolutely beautiful stay. The lodge itself was gorgeous, in a great setting and the views are spectacular. Quiet and peaceful, no disturbance whatsoever. The surroundings are just spectacular. We mentioned it was our little minimoon and they very kindly left us some chocolates and a bottle of fizz. Amazing stay exactly what we needed. Wish we could have stayed longer xxxx

Beautiful accommodation with all the facilities you require. Lovely views of the Lammemuir hills especially sunrise and sunset. Gorgeous beach 10min walk from accommodation.

Recharging 😍

Loved every second. Accommodation is just perfect the views amazing. Spotlessly clean. Welcome bottle of Prosecco 😘. We were looking to relax and recharge and that’s exactly what happened. We made use of the things to do sent by Lisa. Visited the beach, walked around the castle and played putting - such fun. Great food and a few cheeky drinks. Thank you Lisa, we will be back

Traprain Rock & Castle Escapes

This place is amazing - a little slice of heaven. The interior is beautiful and extremely well designed, and the host was very helpful with great tips for things to do. You'll have everything you need to eat, relax, and be comfortable. The location is extremely peaceful and relaxing, with lots to do just a few minutes' drive or a short walk away. We would love to come back and stay a week just to enjoy it more!
