Family-Friendly Lakeside Cottage with Spectacular Sunset Views Pet-Friendly!

This newly renovated 2-bedroom, 1.5-bathroom lakeside cottage is the perfect place to relax and escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Nestled on a quiet street, the cottage offers views of the lake.

The cottage is fully furnished and equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay, including a fully equipped kitchen, King beds, a living room with a pull-out couch, and a private rock patio with picnic table and grill. There is also a washer and dryer in unit. As well as a desk for anyone looking to work from home.

The cottage is completely separate from the main home and located only a few steps from the lake, where you can enjoy swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, and fishing. Two Kayaks and Two Paddle Boards are available for use. There are also several local restaurants and shops within a short drive.

Whether you are looking for a romantic getaway or a family vacation, this lakeside home is the perfect place to relax. *There is a pet fee, please list your pets*

Loved our stay here! The place was clean, in a great area, and had the added bonus of being able to have our pets with us. Lake view and the sunsets were amazing! Also had lake access with kayaks and paddle board. It had everything we needed, and the host was so easy to communicate with. Would totally stay again!

Great little house

Everything about this house was great! It was spotless, and pleasing to the eye. Everything in the house was “top of the line”. Beds were very comfortable. Kitchen was stocked with everything you need. I had brought a bag of coffee as most rentals have regular coffee pots. When I saw the Keurig, I was ready to go buy some pods. Then I noticed the little drawer under the coffee pot that was filled with pods. You had everything covered Josh! Thank you for coming over immediately to help us get used to the tv. Much appreciated. We highly recommend this sweet little house!!

Great and effective stay!

This was a great spot to stay with my wife, another couple, and my dog! The house is small - especially downstairs. But it is extremely well thought out and space is used as effectively as can be. Upstairs had 2 good sized bedrooms with king beds and a nicely renovated bathroom with a great shower. The house is located in a small, cute, and a bit of an unusual neighborhood. Very quiet. Very safe feel. But not too good for much dog walking and parking is super tight. Owner was very good with communication and left a dog bed and toys for our dog. All in all, a very good stay. We will stay again when we are back in the area.

We truly enjoyed this lovely spot while dropping our son off at Wesleyan University. It was a perfect little spot to relax and enjoy the water and beautiful sunsets.

I may be biased in my opinions as I grew up in this area. Places to eat less than a mile away. Local taverns/bars, and Grocery store also close. The area was very quiet and we tried to be quiet also. The ducks came to visit every morning at the lake. Sunset was awesome. This place was very clean and cozy. I was very impressed. There was a lot of thought put into this place. If we stayed longer we could have made home made meals. The kitchen was complete with everything one would need to do so. It was awesome. We had a great time. Thank you.

Short stay, dreary weather but nice and peaceful!

Just what we needed as a mid-way point on the way home from a long road trip. We adults got some good naps in while our two kids had their own space to chat or watch a movie. Very peaceful location and house had everything we needed. We would stay here again as it is also within 30 min of many extended family. Grocery store, coffee, gas and cute restaurants very close by.

Lovely Cottage!

We were there for a family event in Glastonbury for just a couple of days, and so we didn't go to the lake. However, the cottage was perfect for our needs -- quiet, allowed for contemplation, and privacy that we needed. We hope to perhaps and experience the beautiful lake.

Just what we needed

We were in CT to help some family members with a move and decides to try fitting in some relaxation too. Josh's place was clean, well decorated with many nice touches: amenities in the shower, a fully stocked kitchen and extras for the dog. We only wish we'd been right on the water! We did have space to go down to the water and enjoy the sunset, listen to the birds and we met a friendly Mallard duck. Duck and dog did not make friends. 😂 Josh was very responsive to all communication. Bed was comfortable, shower was great! Highly recommend.

Lake Pocotopaug

It was a lovely stay!! The view of the lake, groceries and great places to eat within 5 minutes! The place was a perfect fit for our family of four. We enjoyed the bottled water and Keurig from our host, and the kitchen stocked so we could cook meals together. I’m sure with warmer weather and access to the lake it would be even more special, but we enjoyed the winter stillness. Until next time!

Perfect Lakeside Cottage

I had the pleasure of staying in Josh's cottage for a month. I travel with my dogs and this cottage was perfect for us. The kitchen was well equipped and I was able to cook meals with ease. The bedrooms are large and I found the beds really comfortable. I loved being so close to the lake and spent a lot of time relaxing down by the water. The cottage is located close to downtown so getting to shops and eateries was very convenient. This is definitely one of the friendliest spots I have ever visited with my dogs. Josh thoughtfully included a box of doggy items that had all the necessities covered if I forgot something. We enjoyed walks around the quiet residential neighborhood and also on the Airline Trail which is about a 5 minute drive. It is a great place to take a longer walk and enjoy nature. Po's Rice & Spice and Jessica's Garden in East Hampton and Sadler's Ordinary in Marlborough are a few of my favorite places to dine out nearby. I really enjoyed my time at Josh's cottage and I would definitely return. Thank you Josh! 🙂
