Our meticulously crafted home is situated on top of a private bluff on approximately 3 acres of gorgeous oceanfront land in the idyllic seaside community of East Dover (10 min to Peggy's Cove). Our 5 bedroom 3 bathroom home is the ideal family vacation getaway (read our reviews). Recently upgraded to1gig high speed internet. If you're looking for an ultra exclusive vacation experience in a stunning home, in beautifully East Coast Nova Scotia you will not be disappointed. Open and spacious yet private, offering extraordinary panoramic ocean views. This modern home is extremely fluid and comfortable, designed with spectacular Ocean views from every window. The open-concept layout of the main level is fantastic, and includes a vaulted great room, with floor to ceiling windows offering an amazing view of the surrounding ocean. Bedrooms are spacious and comfortable including all bedding and linens. A cooks kitchen. well appointed with everything you need to cook gourmet meals. Featuring Granite counter-tops, island with chairs and separate dining area. All of the bedrooms are well-appointed with incredible views. Bedding, towels and supplies are all included. Upstairs, the master bedroom has a generous walk-in closet, 6-piece bath, floor to ceiling windows with a spectacular view. The other master bedroom on the top floor includes a couch and sitting area. The third bedroom is ideal for kids and includes bunk beds. The lower level features a beautiful bedroom with walkout deck, washroom and shower, a spacious family/exercise/game room and Laundry room. This oceanfront home is as beautiful as its surroundings. We are minutes away from famous Peggy’s Cove. Located about 30 min from Halifax. This is a rare rental home right on the ocean that is perfect for your vacation getaway.

From fishing in Halifax, Whale watching in Lunenberg, exploring the faerie trails in Mahone bay, searching tor Clams at clam harbour provincial park, combing the sands of Terence Bay Beach for sea glass, adventering through the rocks at Peggys Cave, this home was the perfect spot for our weeks vacation. Grandma, her 2 kids, 2 in-laws, 4 grandchildren (ages 12, 8,55) loved looking out the winda sat the waves the passing boats, and resident deers munching on the plants outside. Though no AC, the breeze through the windows provided a very a very comfortable and cool environment! This place had everything we needed for cooking at home, when needed! The stocked spice cabinet also came in handy! The only suggestion would be some beach chairs or sand toys to borrow in the garage as we came by plane, so were limited on what we could bring. We were very impressed by the cleanliness! We hope to return one day soon!!

Sensational Home. Incredible Stay. Nova Scotia

This home is fabulous. Clean, spacious, well furnished. Amazing location - within short gorgeous drives to whatever we need. And plenty of room for walks around the property and rocks along the bay. Magnificent views of the ocean/bay. Any minor issues were resolved quickly. Stephen is very responsive and attentive. Excellent host.

Quality home with outstanding views

This is a quality property with spectacular views and outstanding natural light. The layout is a bit unusual. The primary suite is on the top level with a connected bathroom. It's the only bathroom for the three bedrooms on that level. The kitchen is very well equipped, especially for cooking your lobster dinner! Take time to traverse the path down to the lookout over St. Margaret's Bay for breathtaking views. We would definitely rent this property again.

The week of the flood

Our group had a great time. House is lovely and the views are stunning. Unfortunately we arrived a day after the floods and many roads were destroyed which impacted some of our plans. Non the less, looking out at the scenery was beautiful.

First Escape from Covid 19

The last time we were in this home, it was for our wedding pre-covid. The location and property were great then - and have stayed great. For our first escape from BC since Covid it was a wonderful time. The owner was immediately responsive when one window wouldn't close. We enjoyed the glorious views and loved the local restaurants. Lobster was frequently on the menu at the house as it's minutes from Ryers Lobsters, and growing up in NS Peggy's Cove was one of my most loved places and still is. Highly recommended home. We were thrilled that one of our wedding wine glasses was still in the cupboard, and we enjoyed using it and seeing that others had before us - Conrad and Kelly

The Most Amazing House-Rent it for a spectacular stay

This is the most amazing house to stay at! This is a house of glass and every window has a stunning view. The house sits up on a knoll and overlooks the inlet. You have two neighbors which you can not see or hear. There is a trail down to the water where you can explore the rocks or sit and take in the view. We traveled to Nova Scotia for my mom’s 80th birthday and family reunion. The house easily fit all of us and everyone was comfortable. You are 21 miles from Peggy’s Cove, 30 minutes from Halifax, and 45 minutes to a great beach. It was a trip of a lifetime in Nova Scotia making precious memories with family. How can you beat that. Thanks for giving us incredible memories at your house.

Beautiful views

Beautiful property and lots of rooms for everyone to get a great night sleep. The description shows that there is a fireplace however guests are not allowed to use it so keep that in mind if that is on your must have list.

Great time

We had a wonderful time with friends. Great ocean view. Kitchen and bedrooms were very nice. Kitchen is well equipped. The only thing I would probably say is to take more toilet paper with you if you have 10 people. We were not allowed to use fireplace but were fine with that. Living room could update furniture to seat 10 more easily. Overall fantastic stay and you won’t be disappointed.

A needed break!

Four couples (all friends) needed a break away and so we rented this wonderful home for the weekend. A pot luck supper Friday night and night out at the Rhubarb Sat made for a relaxing and enjoyable time. Visited the new viewing deck at Peggy's Cove as well. This home has breath taking views, beautifully furnished and a well equipped kitchen. A must RETURN TO PLACE!

Fantastic stay

We spent a week enjoying stunning sunrises and enjoyable excursions during the days. We were able to visit Peggy’s Cove, Queensland beach, Chester, Mahone Bay, Lunenburg, hiked Split Cove, and Halifax proper. The house is as stunning as the pictures online. We are already planning our next visit!

Ocean retreat

Everything about our stay was fabulous, the views, the comfortable sleeping accommodations and the house was stocked with everything you could possibly need. There were no blackout shades or window dressings in any of the bedrooms which meant at 5-6am you are wide awake with little to chance of getting back to sleep and there were no blinds or privacy window dressings in the bathrooms and the main floor bathroom looks straight into the driveway. The other issue we had was that no one could get on the wifi which was a definite inconvenience. Overall our stay was great and although the things above were bothersome, we would still rate this beautiful home a strong 4.5 to 5 in star ratings.

Fabulous getaway

Our party of 3 couples was blown away by the unique architecture of the home and the stunning views from the floor to ceiling windows. With full bedrooms and baths on each of the three levels, we all had privacy while still having the opportunity to be together. The home is a close drive to Rhubarb restaurant, which we enjoyed on our second night there. The kitchen is very well stocked with spices and cooking products and we enjoyed making a number of meals there. The only challenge we experienced was trying to use the television. In the end it didn't really matter because we didn't really want to watch television anyways, but the directions could be clearer. We all took turns following them to a T but we couldn't get the channels to come up. All in all it was a fabulous get-away in Covid times.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home. Amazing views from every window, truly an unbelievable location! We stayed for just a winter weekend but wished we’d had a longer stay. Super well stocked kitchen made cooking very easy. Loved the foosball table! Thank you!

Scenic getaway

This is a truly unique property located in a breathtakingly beautiful location. It’s very much away from the bustle but an easy drive to Halifax. Our visits included Pollys Cove (10 minutes), Peggys Cove (15 minutes), and Lunenburg (1.5 hours). Just poking along the shoreline is a satisfying day trip in and of itself. This was a super place to stay - we left with many great experiences and fond memories.

Great Stay

This is the second time my family has stayed at this accommodation. Was a wonderful stay this second time amount. Check in happened a bit late, but other than that it was super clean, well appointed and with all the amenities. Will definitely be staying here again some time in the future.
