La casa de Campo

La cabaña tiene 2 dormitorios, 1 baño, una cocina completa, una sala de estar y un porche con pantalla. Una habitación tiene una cama matrimonial y la otra habitación tiene 3 camas (una reina y dos gemelas). También hay dos camas individuales adicionales ubicadas en la antigua casa de botes que se ha convertido en una barraca. Hay una hoguera en el lugar donde se proporciona leña, así como una parrilla de gas disponible para su uso.

Nuestra cabaña está a solo 25 pies del agua, lo que le brinda una excelente vista del lago. El entorno es muy privado, ya que no puedes ver a los vecinos a ambos lados debido a los bosques. El agua es nadable con un bonito fondo arenoso. Hay algunas cañas de mediados a finales del verano que rodean el área del muelle.

Un bote de pontones de 20 pies con motor de 4 tiempos de 40 HP atracado en la cabaña está INCLUIDO en el precio del alquiler. Este es un pontón de pesca / crucero y funcionará bien para cualquier propósito.

Columbus Lake es un lago de más de 600 acres ubicado en Sugar Camp Wisconsin. El lago no tiene acceso 'público', por lo tanto, no tiene mucha presión de pesca ni tráfico de botes como la mayoría de los otros lagos. El lago es abundante en walleyes, panfish, percas, lucios del norte y muskie. La costa es un fondo arenoso, con algunas cañas que rodean el muelle ubicado en la cabaña. .

Brett is a great host. Always available if you need anything. Loved this cabin! It had everything I needed and the beds were extremely comfortable. The views are fantastic. Very peaceful. I cant wait to come back.

This was our second stay with the first occurring in October 2022. Uncooperative weather that year caused fishing issues but this year the weather was fantastic and the fishing was fantastic. Caught many fish off the boat but caught the biggest (walleye and perch) right off the pier. The fall colors got better each day during our stay. One minor issue was corrected by Brett and staff within minutes. We will be back next year. One minor suggestion...add non-slip strips in the bath tub as it is slippery and caused fall concerns for our 88-year old mother. Other than that, a great place to stay, relax and enjoy the north woods!!

This was our first time staying at this cabin. The location of the cabin is perfect. You are secluded from everyone and it really feels like you are alone which is great. The pontoon was very fun. We used to fish out of most of the week. We caught a ton of fish from the pontoon and off of the dock. The beach area is very shallow and sandy. There are weeds in the swimming area, but not too bad. The pictures online are not accurate. The furniture is different and to be honest, uncomfortable. Thankfully, the mosquitoes were not a problem for us. Weather could have been better, but we made the best of our stay. Communication with Brett was outstanding. We didn't communicate much as everything was pretty good.

The cabin was fantastic. The pontoon boat was a huge plus. There was plenty of room for everyone, and everything we needed was there for us.

Clean wonderful 2 bedroom cabin with a screened in porch and large fire pit all with great views of the lake. Lots of wood and great outdoor chairs. The pontoon was in great shape and just right for cruising the lake and fishing the hot spots. Nice size lake to fish with little traffic and no public access. The kitchen had a quality stove/oven and full size refrigerator with freezer. It was just my brother and I and we had the best time! Conveniently located near Eagle River and Sugar Camp with good restaurants and bars. Highly recommend for a couple or small family.

We had a nice stay. The weather was not the greatest during our 4 day stay, so we didnt get to be outside as much as we had hoped. The pontoon was great the few short times we took it out. We enjoyed the eagle river children's museum one of the rainy days. The cabin was exactly as described and Brett was great at answering any questions during our stay. Lake was very peacefull. Overall it was nice getaway!

The place is so quiet, peaceful and clean, also with a good sighting of wildlife like deer, ducks and bald eagles. All in all it's a place that's recommendable to go to if your looking for some privacy and a time to just chill and rest. It's not only me and my wife who enjoyed but I can honestly say our pups enjoyed all the more since they had lots of outdoor activities like long walks, running, play on the water and boating. Shout out to Brett for allowing us to rent his place. Thank you.

This cabin is very nice and has a beautiful view of the lake. The boat was great and offered us the opportunity to take late afternoon cruises around the lake. Fishing was ok but it was August so as expected, especially with low water levels. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely stay again.

This is the second time here. This place is awesome. My parents had a cottage on this lake a long time ago. Great to show the grandchildren everything about the lake and history. And of course the fish. Hope to have a chance to go back again.

The cottage is very nice and comfy. Had electricity, hot water, a nice kitchen, a nice deck and it came with a pontoon boat.There is good cellular reception there as well. Everything was clean the owner was always available if I had questions. We caught a bunch of panfish right off the pier and had a great time in the water. Would highly reccomend this place to anyone.

Our stay was wonderful. The house was very comfortable and met our needs. The fall colors were spectacular. We did have a wide range of weather - 70 degrees and sunny to 30 degrees and 3" of snow. This reasonably accounted for the poor fishing but we will be back.

I have always wanted to get back on the lake I grew up on. This was my opportunity. This place was awesome. The set up here was way more than I expected. They have thought of everything. All you have to do is bring food. I would highly recommend this to anyone. The fishing is great. (If you know the lake :) Thank you for a wonderful experience. Hope to go back again sometime.

Those should have made for a peaceful relaxing stay but then there was the house - more like a fishing shack with indoor plumbing. Old, worn furniture, horrible mattresses, no place for your clothes or toiletries so you spread them around or lived out of your suitcase. The kitchen was the biggest disappointment however. Paper plates and plastic cups which owner claimed was a covid thing. All cabinets tethered shut so whatever you bought sat on the counters which were minimal at best. One pot, two frying pans and no where to eat except the coffee table. We were there ten days and not one decent nights' sleep. And the softener or water heater goes off nightly at 2:30 AM not weekly as owner claimed. House deserves 2 stars but one more was given for the boat even though it was in serious need of a good cleaning (mold and mildew) and some maintenance (alternator does not work well). Bottom line, the space is horribly overpriced and devoid of any and all welcoming touches VRBO supposedly expects from a host.

Had a good time. Loved the seclusion of the property and the use of the pontoon boat. The boat didn't work when we got there, but owner sent someone immediately. Also, liked that supplied wood for firepit. Negative was beds were extremely uncomfortable and sofa same. Place could have been cleaner. Overall, still had a great time.

This was the perfect place, to get away from the hustle of everyday life. The property is beautiful. The cozy cabin, just steps away from the beautiful, quiet lake. Everything we needed, for an enjoyable week away. Brett, was kind and helpful with any questions we had. We highly recommend staying here and can't wait to stay again, next year.
