The space Situated on the 7th floor of a secure and popular complex’s building, its positioning enables this home to consume guests with its awe-inspiring ocean views, while ensuring their privacy. Guests enter into an open concept living area which greets them with floor to ceiling picture windows offering uninterrupted views of the beach and ocean, and Durban’s skyline visible in the distance. Both the kitchen and lounge are housed in the air-conditioned living space which leads onto an expansive, semi-covered balcony with a gas braai, and outdoor dining and patio furniture.
Guests are treated to glorious views of the coast and the luxury of enjoying their meals to the sounds of the waves breaking in the background. Enjoy the sun while you laze on the verandah, counting the many ships waiting to enter Durban harbour! A fully equipped kitchen offers guests all the conveniences of a well-established home including a dishwasher, coffee machine, washing machine, fridge and all necessary appliances. It opens into the lounge with a lovely bar counter and barstools.
A large, comfy leather lounge suite offers guests the opportunity to relax with views overlooking the twinkling blue, warm Indian ocean. The lounge has a flatscreen, Smart TV which is connected to a dedicated Fiber line so that guests can conveniently watch their personal DSTV package, and other preferred subscriptions with ease via a DSTV box.
The Master Bedroom with Queen size bed has its own ensuite Master Bathroom, with a bathtub. Both the second and third bedrooms boast gorgeous views of the coast, and share a bathroom with a single vanity and shower. The second bedroom has a Queen size bed and the third bedroom has a double/single bunk bed which accommodates three guests. Guest access Dedicated, undercover parking is available on-site. The property has a single parking bay for guests to use.
Parking for additional guests is available in the visitors parking area which is located next to the security access gate. Guests can use the M4 and N2 Freeways to access Umdloti / travel to Umhlanga and Durban. The airport is only 8 minutes away which is super convenient for car hire/travel. Most restaurants and shops are in walking distance so there isn't really a need for a car once you're in the area.
There is an AWESOME child-friendly tidal pool which is protected from waves across the road from the apartment, and a short 5-minute walk from a swimming beach.
The area allows for bicycles and is love for taking walks on the beach and across the promenade. Uber is available to/from Umdloti Beach. Other things to note The property has a gas braai, whistling keIle and UPS system to power the Wifi, TV and a light, and charge phones for shorter periods of power outages.
Bath towels are provided but not beach towels so guests should please bring their own. Guests have unlimited access to the complimentary, Fiber WIFI.
Guests have access to a DSTV device which they can use to stream their personal DSTV subscription/favourite channels Guests have access to the complex’s communal amenities including a gated communal pool and kiddies pool, Braai/BBQ and Garden/Picnic areas with seating for outdoor dining.
Cleaning services can be arranged in advance for the duration of your stay, and over weekends and South African Public Holidays. While the property is fully equipped with laundry facilities, guests can arrange laundry services directly with an outsourced company.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a range of glassware, crockery, cutlery, cookware and cooking utensils. It also caters for children, offering plastic cups and plates for the littles. Guests have access to the whole property excluding a few private, storage cupboards.
The property's is situated at the top of its building. Unfortunately this means that there are approx 180 steps to reach the property if there's loadshedding, a power outage or any unforeseen issue with the complex's lift.
The complex strictly adheres to set quiet hours. Guests breaching these times will be liable for a Body Corporate fine in excess of R2000. Guests should especially be aware of noise levels when signg out on the balcony at night.
