The largest of Cascade Village unit styles, this Cascade floorplan will take your breath away. Located in the San Juan building with unobstructed views of the surrounding peaks you will find it difficult to leave. This 2200 sq ft three bedroom three bath unit has wonderful design from the moment you step into the entry. On the main level you will find a large fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances, spacious dining room and great room a wonderful rock wood burning fireplace, wet bar, TV, DVD, fiber optic WIFI, and a large wrap around deck. The main level offers a bedroom with two double beds, full bath and a washer dryer. On the second level the master bedroom has a king bed, deck with beautiful views, large bathroom with shower. The other bedroom has a queen bed. There is another full bath plus large loft with sofa sleeper and TV and wifi.

The property was beautiful and the views were stunning. We even saw a cow moose and her calf come down from the mountain across the way from our condo while sitting at the kitchen table. There was a little plumbing issue in one of the upstairs bedroom on our first night , but our host Brandon was amazing and came quick to fix it. Apparently this seems to have happen before you can tell by some areas in the ceiling. Brandon was absolutely the best host accommodating this issue and helping with any needs . I’m still giving this place a 5 star cause the matter was handled quickly and it didn’t affect our stay… the house was absolutely gorgeous and spacious for Christmas vacation. If there’s one thing I could recommend would be a Christmas tree since we stayed the week of Christmas, but we went and bought one for our stay .

The views are to die for!!!! So beautiful and so quiet, I believe we were there in the off season which I am sure helped. Also the local dinning was amazing and not far from here which was also great!

I love that we check in and out ourselves, and we didn't have to stop to check in in the main office and that the parking was in an actual covered parking. Also thst we have a washer and dryer on the unit. The only thing we didn't like was that there is not restaurants or place to get food close to it. You have to drive to durango like 30 to 45m to get some food.

Spacious yet cozy

There is plenty of room to spread out with plenty of beds, sofas and seating for everyone! We enjoyed our family time eating in, playing games, working through puzzles and watching movies when we weren't skiing. We would stay here again and again!

Gateway to the San Juan National Forest

Cascade Village is perfectly located between Durango and Silverton, with amazing access to the San Juan National Forest. We had an end unit, which afforded an amazing deck on the ground floor and a balcony off the master bedroom both offering spectacular views of the community grounds and the mountains. We had undercover parking with access to our unit from both the parking level and the upper street level. Great when you are dealing with gear and potential afternoon thunderstorms. The unit was accurately described. The rooms were spacious, the bathrooms ample with luxurious towels and all amenities. The kitchen was well laid out and had plenty of everything. Laundry in house. Brandon, our property manager, went beyond the call of duty when a housemate called at 2 am for assistance and he responded with kindness and support. We are grateful for his response. The pool and hot tub were a welcome respite after long hikes, and we were able to use the event center for a group potluck. The availability of extra resources was a welcome bonus to an already great location. We will definitely return to Cascade Village and specifically to the San Juan Building, unit 15.

Spacious and comfortable

This property is very large and comfortable. Very well appointed. Clean with everything we needed. Great sunrises. A little dated but I preferred the look. Pool temp was a little cold but not bad. Drive to Durango was pretty far but an easy drive. Parking underneath was good. Everything worked well. Wish we could have stayed longer than three nights.

Excellent stay

Brandon was amazing to deal with. Very responsive. First load of laundry didn't spin and after one email he was there to fix the problem within hours. Property was described perfectly and slept our family comfortably. The activity field in the front of the unit was perfect for my young boys to play in and I could see them from the balcony. The kitchen was the most efficiently stocked of any VRBO I have ever stayed in. We came with two trucks with 40 ft trailers carrying side by sides and had ample parking on the street behind the unit. Everyone in the neighborhood was friendly. The game room was fun for the boys on off days and the pool/spa area was very clean. I would highly recommend staying here and would do so again myself on our next trip. Thank you Brandon for making the entire rental process and stay so smooth!

Not What We Expexted

Property itself was nice. Initially I sent 3 unanswered emails to the property manager, then when I called was able to get my questions answered. Frustrating! Nowhere to make a payment on the VRBO website. The “heated pool” was FREEZING! Asked about it and was told it should be “80-84” degrees. Nowhere remotely close to that! Hot water was lacking (dishwasher would not dissolve the tablet provided). Not enough trash bags or other amenities provided for our party size. Too far from Durango. Drive was at least 30 minutes (which was my fault for not realizing the time it would take). So no “running to the store real quick” for anything. We weren’t told about where to park (info on the fridge, but was of no use to us upon arrival and trying to figure it out). The stay was nice and because it’s an end unit, had a large corner deck, which was nice. Unit desperately needs updating though.

This property was centrally located to everything we wanted to do. Hiking , train ride from Silverton, Mesa Verde, Durango. Place was excellent and best stocked kitchen I’ve ever had at rental.

The condo was beautiful clean and well stocked. The view from the balcony was spectacular! I loved drinking my tea out there every morning. It was a wonderful place to gather as a family. We had plenty of room and we took advantage of all of the amenities including the grill the spa the gym the pool and the volleyball court.
