I was incredibly disappointed in our stay at Superior Shores. I have been staying at this same resort for 35+ years. This trip was by far the worst. We paid for a room on the lake. This was not what we received! The employees said that we booked through Expedia and that was the confusion with our room choice. We had a room overlooking the woods. I let the office know and they switched us to another room facing the woods. The hallways were dirty with visible dirt on the carpet. It looked like they hadn’t done any maintenance or updated anything in years. The pool was cold and on the side of the pool, someone had spilled grape juice and it was not cleaned up. Several jets in the hot tub were not working. I wanted to take a bath, but that looked filthy. I didnt feel comfortable sitting in that tub. I put on shower shoes to take a shower. I don’t believe I will ever go back to this resort!! My old favorite spot will have to be changed to a new location. All of those memories will be lost. I only hope they can get their act together. As for this couple, we will not be coming back.
