Would you fancy waking up in the morning hearing the sound of the water flowing slowly in the river by the mill?
Welcome to Pontemanco, a pretty village in Due Carrare where you will find a quiet and a relaxing atmosphere as well as some amazing landscapes.
In a portion of a superb house in an elegant and quiet area facing an old mill by the canal, with two double rooms and a bathroom on the first floor and a private kitchen and a large terrace on the roof top. Right by the Biancolino River in the old village of Pontemanco in Due Carrare we have rebuilt a house to offer our guests a unique place surrounded by silence and an atmosphere from the good old days. The house is part of an old mill on the Biancolino Canal near Padua and just 40 minutes away from Venice by car or train. It has been rebuilt for you to enjoy a lovely and restful stay in the middle of an old and quiet village.

The apartment has a double room with a king size bed, a double room with twin beds and a large bath with jacuzzi on the first floor. On the roof of the tower a kitchen fully equipped and a large terrace for your meals, and relax in summer time. We also provide guests with wi-fi access, air conditioning, television, dryer and a washing machine. As I live close by I will be happy to help in case of any need, but most of all I can suggest unique trips in the Veneto region, I can take you walking in the surroundings to explore the countryside, the Euganean Hills, the vineyards and so on ... If you prefer a break from cooking, just across the bridge there is a charming restaurant where guests can enjoy a glass of wine, cold appetizers and cheese or choose a pasta dish. Are you tired after traveling or exploring? We also provide different kind of massages (shiatsu, ayurveda, relaxing) in cooperation with a Spa.
I'm flexible for your check-in and adapt my hours to your arrival.
You can have a rest in the house, take part in a Yoga class, walk or run by the river, cycle through the paths that lead either to the sea or to the Euganean Hills. You can also take the train or your car to explore Venice in a 40 minutes ride, reach Padova in 15 minutes or other cities like Verona, Ferrara and Bologna. The old mill we have rebuilt is now a typical house by the river just 15 minutes drive from Padua and 40 minutes drive from Venice (tutto da togliere).  The railway station which connect the most important sights in the Veneto region is just a 10 minutes drive.
I'll give you a key on arrival, so please feel at home and come and go as you wish. There are no time restrictions in the mornings nor when you come back after an evening out.
Also there will be no problem with early arrival or departure nor late departures.
I live around the corner so I can spend time with my guests suggesting beautiful trips around Veneto region. I am a runner so I can tell you about amazing paths along the river to run or bike. Due Carrare has a dense network of cycling paths and roads that connect the major cities of the Veneto region. It is located in the middle of a lovely area for riding to the Euganean Hills and Chioggia.

Alles bestens!!!

Großzügiges Apartment - gute Ausstattung und sauber. Der Hit war natürlich die Terrasse, die wir auch jetzt Mitte November noch nutzen konnten. Ideal mit Zug nach Venedig und Padua von Montegrotto Terme aus. Einzig etwas mehr Beleuchtung in der Küche wäre hilfreich. Nur zu empfehlen 👍

Lovely Place

Cute place with loads of Italian charm. Weather was rainy during out trip so couldn't make use of the rooftop deck. Stayed just two days before a cruise out of Ravenna and had a rental car. Not a lot to do directly in the area right around the apartment but was central and close for us to spend a day in Venice and also visit a nearby winery. Short drive to good variety of restaurants.

Ein Ort zum Wohlfühlen

Wer einen Ort abseits der Touristenströme sucht, ist hier genau richtig. Wir fanden die Wohnung einfach wunderschön und ich konnte es bis zuletzt nicht glauben, dass die riesige Dachterrasse für uns alleine war. Es war aber wirklich so! Wir haben die Ruge genossen. Vielen Dank an unsere Vermieterin Nicola!

Due Carrare

We stayed only two nights and couldn't visit the Universty of Padova since it was closed on Monday. Still, we enjoyed resting in this quiet country home. If I had the chance to do it over, I would've stayed there longer to explore this interesting area and as a home base for trips to Venice, Verona, etc..

Great stay by the canal

I cannot say enough good things about this place! The property was old and full of character, but spacious, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed to cook our own meals. The property was also in a great location, close to Due Carrare with its excellent bakery and restaurants, but remote enough to be very quiet. The roof deck was very pleasant in the evening, and having air conditioning was very nice after a long, hot day of sightseeing.

Outdoor furniture was a mess. Hoping it was all replaced after we left. But we were unable to sit outside at all. Messages went unanswered for 20+ hours at one point. Washing machine isn’t in the apartment but downstairs behind a curtain and a door…. in the garage. And was always in use by someone else.

Tolle Terrasse und ideal für zwei.

Eine ausgefallene Unterkunft mit toller Dachterrasse. Für zwei Personen ideal. Es sind zwar vier Betten da, aber diesen Raum kann man gut als Ankleide nutzen. Die Küche könnte etwas besser ausgestattet sein, wenn man tatsächlich kochen möchte. Eine Salatschüssel, ein größeres Messer und ein Brettchen würden helfen.

This was such a beautiful place to stay! Nicola was friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome and comfortable. The home had everything we needed and more, and it was so clean and beautifully decorated and had a HUGE and beautiful terrace! I wish we could have stayed longer!

So charming, so quite and peaceful

The Appartement in fact is the complete Building with two stories and a place to sleep 6 persons. The terrace is huge and one can see the collis. The furniture is well appointed. All clean ! The only missing are the Grappa glases, but Nicola will look for them. Cheers!

Wunderschöne Ferienwohnung

Die Ferienwohnung von Nicola ist großartig. Wir waren nur zu zweit und hatten somit im zweiten Raum ein Ankleidezimmer. Alles ist sauber und gepflegt und doch sehr gemütlich in dem alten Gebäude mit den Fensterläden. Nicola gibt einem Tipps für die Region und zum nächsten Supermarkt usw. Ein hilfsbereiter Vermieter. Räder gibt es auch, mit denen man die Gegend erkunden kann. Das Highlight ist die riesige Dachterrasse. Einfach herrlich dort zu frühstücken, chillen oder den Abend ausklingen zu lassen. Das Jacuzzi war auch toll. Wer Ruhe sucht, ist hier genau richtig. Außer dem Café Zhivago nebenan gibt es wenig Unterhaltung, was wir so wollten. Das Café ist auch klasse zum Essen oder für Cocktails. Am Wochenende gibt es manchmal Veranstaltungen, dann ist sehr viel los. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Gracie mille, Nicola.

… wer die Ruhe und doch das Leben in Italien genießen will ist hier richtig. Ein wunderschönes Quartier im Zentrum des dörflichen Geschehens … Alles was man benötigt ist vor Ort, wenn es Probleme gibt ist Nicola sofort zu Stelle ! Ein ideales Quartier um Venetien zu erkunden ! Birgit und Uwe

Ein perfekte Unterkunft

Dieses tolle Ferienhaus kann man nur weiterempfehlen. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt in dieser sehr geschmackvoll eingerichteten und herrlich (direkt am Kanal) gelegenen Unterkunft. Es hat an nichts gefehlt, einschließlich Obst, Saft, Gebäck und Wein zur Begrüßung. Die Terrasse und deren Aussicht ist ideal zum Relaxen und Erholen. Und der Ort Due Carrare ist ein idealer Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge nach Padua, Treviso, Venedig, Vicenza, Soave, Bassano del Grappa und Chioggia. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder. Mille Grazie, tutto perfetto !!!

Lovely canal house, wonderful location

Tastefully decorated, very clean house/apt in a lovely little neighborhood. Best of all: the great roof deck with lovely views of the area. Dinner on the roof deck with the evening light is magical. Hosts live very near by and were very helpful. Lot's of amenities too: espresso machine - with pods - and a welcoming bottle of the best prosecco we've ever had! Great restaurant around the corner and tiny bakery across the street. The location is perfect for day trips to Padua, Monselice, Venice, Verona, etc.
