Hilton, how you have fallen in stature. I had booked this room for my son and his friend who are studying abroad and visiting Dublin for the weekend. I wanted to ensure they would stay at a reputable brand. However while the Hilton brand stands for quality, that does not translate to consistency across countries and cities. Several times, in the middle of the night, the fire alarm went off in their room and it took more than 30 minutes to reset. They were not offered a different room or any refund (probably since they were not Gold Hilton Honors members like me, and that the hotel staff thought they could minimize brand exposure since these were quiet, non confrontational college students). And this did not happen once. It happened twice during the night, even though the hotel staff assured them it would not happen again. This is unacceptable. One stays to a hotel for rest and security. Not for this type of unapologetic disturbance and lack of service.
