By far the absolute BEST rental we've ever been in. We rent about 2 or 3 times a year, and no other home has compared! The host is wonderful with communication. The house was very well appointed, if I could give it more stars we would have.The check in went very smoothly. The kitchen had every little thing you could possibly hope for. The pool/hot tub was amazing! The neighborhood setting was very peaceful. I would have stayed a month if we could have. So many games, both indoor and outdoor, the pool table, never a dull moment. Don't hesitant, Book this home today!

Great Family Visit

We booked this property for family arriving from California and Arizona for a 90th birthday celebration of our matriarch. There were 8 adults and 7 kids that stayed at the property and they loved it from the start! Kids had so much fun with the toys, games, stuffies, bounce house in the garage and especially the pool. We had perfect weather for hours of pool time. Kitchen was fully stocked with dishes and pans plus. Used the pizza oven and had a blast with a production line of personal pizzas for everyone. We were able to get Mom up and down the few steps to the house even though she uses a walker. She loved watching all the fun and noise. The fireflies came up in the tall weeds around the yard at night and the kids were entranced! Very well supplied and serviced property. Fawna was proactive in checking in the first few days to make sure we had everything going well. We would definitely recommend this property.

Great stay

I stayed in this house with coworkers/friends when we were in the area for a conference. Fawna, the property manager, was very communicative. All the details were thought of in this house!- labeled cabinets and light switches, anything you could possibly need in the kitchen, etc. Would definitely recommend!

Unexpected guest

So we found out the day before we went to the house that the “facilities manager” stays in the detached garage on the property. What they also did not tell us was that the detached garage was mere feet away from the pool that we spent much of our time in. His window and glass sliding door overlooked the pool. Yes we saw him come and go. We did not feel that our space was private. We also got noise warnings from the noise sensors on the outside of the house while we were IN the house. This was quite annoying since we got contacted by the manager about noise level. And then another call from an owner. They tried to assure us that everything was fine but after that we were all afraid to make too much noise whether in or out of the house. So 2 days in we already had received 2-3 texts and 2 phone calls. Not a way to relax for sure. We had planned on using the fire pit in the evenings but never did that for fear of more notifications on noise. The house itself was well stocked. My only complaint is that the kitchen was so full that there was no room for the food we brought. We ended up having to pile our food on the island and the counter which left it very cluttered. An empty pantry would have been nice. This home is in a neighborhood. You need to consider this before renting. They ask that quiet time starts at 9pm. We were out on the deck the first night listening to music after 9 and got a complaint from a neighbor. Not the best experience.

Amazing

We stayed over Thanksgiving and this house had everything. The kitchen had every item you could possibly need (kitchen aid mixer, air fryer, griddle, pie/cake pans). I have never stayed in such a well stocked VRBO. We used the outdoor pizza oven which was a lot of fun and turned out great . We used the hot tub everyday. Plenty of room for everyone. Do not hesitate to stay here it was amazing!

Great family VRBO

This was an amazing place to stay. The house had every kitchen appliance our foodie family could need! They had all kinds of activities for everyone in our multi generational family, from age 5 -78! There were 9 adults and 2 children and everyone had a bed!! I would definitely recommend staying here.

Family time w/adult children & their families

Plenty of space for everyone... together or alone. Lots of kitchen appliances & gadgets. Quiet area. Pool & hot tub were much enjoyed. Extra refrigerator was great. All the thoughtful little things... bag of chips & jar of salsa, makings for s'mores, bottle of wine, treats/ toys/ bed/ bowls & 'baggies' for our pet, safety gate on stairs, plenty of bath & pool towels, checking in with us to make sure all was well... the list could go on. This was our first family mini vacation w/our kids as married adults, 3 grandchildren, & 1 pet. The home was very welcoming & homey. Thank you for all you put into making Tranquil Vista inviting, lived in, & loved!

New Year’s in Dorr Michigan

Wow!!! This was just the best family vacation home we could image! The house was clean, well stocked with everything you could need and more! Our preteens, teens, parents and grandparents enjoyed the games and pool table!! so kind of the owners to leave us a New Year’s party basket, doggy treats and toys and the Christmas decor was so festive! Great house!

I stayed with a group of women (all in our 30s) for a long weekend. Communication was amazing- I received a phone call the day before our trip making sure we were good to go, a text once we arrived, and another phone call on the second day making sure we were enjoying our stay. Any text I sent was quickly responded to as well. The house was so organized, everything was labeled, and it was fully stocked with so many things you may need. We did not have any of our kids with us, but the home would have been great for families as it had so many baby items as well. It was centrally located to everywhere we went all weekend long.

Perfect Weekend Getaway!

Such a lovely home, and overall great weekend away with friends. Close enough to Grand Rapids, and Kalamazoo. Plenty of space for everyone. Hot tub was great, just a little small for more than 3-4 people. Pool table was in excellent shape and a lot of fun. Two huge TVs and a Christmas tree to top it off. All the kitchen amenities you will likely need, and plenty of fridges for everything you might have. Highly recommend and would love to stay again.

Amazing Family Getaway

Great property that has everything you could possibly need!! We had such wonderful and fun time and we never left the house! We cooked, celebrated a birthday and played games all day! Such beautiful memories to last a lifetime! The game room was exceptional! We played pool and poker, and had an intense game of Jenga lol. The owner was very responsive and had great communication. He was very thoughtful and left us a welcome basket full of goodies, which we enjoyed and appreciated. We will definitely rent from him again. Thank you for a wonderful home and experience!! Good spot for a guys golf trip

We had a great stay at this property. The pool and hot tub were great after a long hot day of golf. We took advantage of the pizza oven and grill as well. The property is in a residential neighborhood and the owner emphasized that we needed to keep the noise down after 9pm. We were ok with that but it’s something to be aware of if your group is full of rowdy night owls.

Great Getaway

Great property, with plenty of space for 12 family members (6 adults, 6 teens/kids). Lots of space outside, with pool, hot tub, expansive deck, and fire pit. We spent our entire time outside, really enjoyed the beautiful weather and accommodations. Great grocery store just a few minutes away, and house was equipped with everything we needed. Property Owner was very responsive when we required assistance.

Had a great time

Overall we enjoyed our stay at this house. The property has great views of nature, and is very private. Our kids enjoyed the pool and the inflatable toys that were provided. The place was the cleanest that we have seen compared to other rental houses. The host's communication was excellent before, during and after the trip with important details and reminders.

Family reunion

We all felt like we were ‘home’ and everything we needed was available to us. Communication with the property manager helped so much and I always knew he was there if I had any questions. The beds were comfortable and the quality of things were top notch and in great condition. Our kids loved the pool and that was a huge plus in keeping them busy and off screens! I highly recommend this property.

Great experience,

Once we were paid in full, we received great communication and quick response from the owner on everything. The place was very clean. The swimming pool was much bigger than I expected based on the photos, and the floor plan and bedroom space was also larger than I expected, so with 12 people we had plenty of space to spread out and to come together! The stores were less than a mile away. I'm glad we booked it!

Amazing!

This place is amazing. It was everything we expected and more. It was like living in a 5 star hotel. The house was very clean and a perfect get-away spot. Super Kids friendly, with enough space for a large family (We had 5 kids with us.) Robb was very attentive to any questions or concerns that we had while we were there. He has set the bar very high for any other vacation rental home in the future. (This is my first.) The jacuzzi and fireplace were very easy to use. We will be back and I highly recommend it.

Clean, spacious house in Grand Rapids area

Our family of four stayed in this clean, spacious house for three days during the last week of December 2020 for a quick change of scenery during the kids' winter break from school. The house is exactly as advertised. It is located in a small town outside of Grand Rapids. It is about a 10 to 15 minute drive to shops and restaurants in the south suburbs of Grand Rapids. The setting is quiet and peaceful. While we did not use the hot tub and the pool was not in season, those amenities would be awesome during the summer months. The amenities inside the house include a great pool table setup and cable tv in most of the rooms. The house is well-stocked with basic toiletries and plenty of cooking utensils, The house was spotlessly clean. It has an open floor plan on the main level and has lots of space for large groups. The owner is very communicative and kindly welcomed us to the house with a bottle of wine, soda, and chips and salsa. This house is an excellent option if you are visiting West Michigan.
