Castle View House, impresionante propiedad de época.

Castle View House está situado en un entorno tranquilo a la sombra del castillo Doonagore del siglo XVI y a 5 minutos a pie de Doolin Village. Justo al comienzo de The Cliffs of Moher Walking Trail, estará en una posición ideal para recorrer las famosas Islas Burren y Aran, así como The Cliffs of Moher.
La casa fue construida por antepasados de los actuales propietarios en la década de 1870 y fue renovada y restaurada sensiblemente hace cuatro años y ahora es un espacio cálido y confortable con calefacción central alimentada con aceite, es un excelente lugar para relajarse y disfrutar del entorno tranquilo.
Hay cuatro grandes habitaciones dobles, todas con impresionantes paisajes y vistas al acantilado a través de los grandes ventanales. Dos habitaciones tienen baño privado y las otras dos comparten un baño contiguo.
En la planta baja hay tres grandes salas de recepción, un comedor formal con vistas al castillo de Doonagore, un gran salón señorial con vistas al castillo de Doonagore y los acantilados de Moher. Ambas habitaciones cuentan con estufas de leña para noches acogedoras.
Una gran cocina de estilo rural totalmente equipada con todas las comodidades modernas con una fantástica cocina cerrada en un arco de piedra completa el espacio de vida donde puede reunirse alrededor de la gran mesa de la cocina disfrutando de las vistas de las vacas que pastan en el exterior.
Si desea aventurarse, camine hasta Doolin Village, a solo 5 minutos por la carretera, donde encontrará pubs, cafeterías, un hotel y varias tiendas de artesanía, a 10 minutos de distancia tome un ferry con servicio regular a las Islas Aran.
Querrás volver una y otra vez a Castle View House cuando te haya cautivado su paz y tranquilidad.

What a delightful accommodation at the cliffs of Moher. Walking distance to central Doolin. Hiking starts at the property. Perfect view of castle. Home was so comfortable and well appointed. Stayed for nearly a week and hated to leave.

The house and property are authentic, charming, and very high quality. The nearly 200 year old house was renovated recently but kept historic aesthetic and materials. Excellent location relatively close to many of the western coastal attractions, small towns, and activities. Host was very communicative and helpful.

This was a great location for us as we wanted to experience the beauty of the cliffs outside of the every day tourist section. The house was a great size. Sally and her family are in the adjoining front section and she let us in to show us around and explain the workings of the house. The recycling/rubbish information was quite extensive and you are expected to take all bottles to the recycling station behind a local pub as well as separate general rubbish with plastic recycling and food scraps additionally. You are also asked to clean some areas and floors of the house but you are not charged a cleaning fee so we felt this was fair. All in all a great stay.

We have rented innumerable VRBO properties, and none of them beat this for the quality of the accommodations, the location and majegtic views, and the convenience of local services and activities. Situated within sight of the North Atlantic and just steps from the northern end of the Clliffs of Moher, a short drive to butchers, bakers, and . . . well, no candlestick makers, but all the shops one could possibly need, Castle View House is off the charts. The only issue we had was leaving as it truly felt like home. This is the perfect respite in a troubled world.

There were seven in our group, four adults and three teenagers. The home was very comfortable with plenty of room. It was a good jumping off point for day trips to Galway and Shannon, and lots of sightseeing in between. Sally was a great host, and very quickly responded to a couple of requests we had. Highly recommend!

Great views and location! Spacious and we didnt even use all the rooms! They also have livestock and we were able to see a new born calf halfway thru our stay. Communicating was easy and house is emaculate. She provides some staple foods as well like brown bread, orange juice, milk and butter. Great place!

This property is truly unbelievable! Before you even enter the home you know you are somewhere magical. My children didn't even make it out of the car before they spotted the cows that live on site - a definite highlight for sure! The rental is incredible - every detail thought of. From the well stocked kitchen, the games cupboard, the linens and toiletries, everything is ready for you to relax and enjoy the splendours of County Clare. We loved the house so much - a space for everyone and we just adored the grand feeling of each room (the window seats will be missed once home). Sally was so welcoming and such a wonderful host - cannot give enough praise! We highly recommend McDermott's Pub and Doolin Cave! And if you are up for a culinary delight then pop up to Homestead Cottage for an unreal tasting experience.

Castleview House was nothing short of magical! Beautifully renovated historical house with a view of a castle AND cliffs by the sea! The house was exceptionally clean and well-equipped, and in a perfect location - pubs and music of Doolin, outdoor adventures at the Cliffs of Moher and Arran Islands, and a short drive to other sites like Blarney castle and Galway. Sally welcomed us with basic provisions, wine, AND homemade brown bread. Could not have been more perfect! We look forward to coming back!

Castle View House was pristine! We all loved watching the cows from our windows and walking around the beautiful property. The house was very well stocked with all that we could need to cook a few meals and take care of the family on vacation. Our host, Sally, left us bread, milk, eggs and some essentials to get us started upon arrival. We felt very welcomed and comfortable!

My husband, sister and two nieces were fortunate to spend 4 nights in this outstanding property. We all hated to leave. Sally met us upon checkin and communicated promptly during our stay. She's a gem of a host. The house is tastefully furnished, the beds were wonderful, and the spacious living room gave everyone a comfortable place to congregate. The kitchen had everything we needed and the pantry was well-stocked. While we were doing laundry, the dryer broke. Sally was gracious enough to take our wet clothes home and return them dried and perfectly folded, a kindness we continue to talk about. There is literally a view from every room. The castle, the Cliffs of Mohr, the cows ... all offered peace and serenity. We were privileged to meet a baby calf born the night before and seeing him wobbling around and watching the attentive mother was truly a highlight. The walk along the Cliffs path, which is right outside the property, offered stunning morning mist and evening sunsets. We took the ferry to Inish Mohr, enjoyed a delicious dinner at Ivy Cottage, and heard traditional music at McDermott's. We would all return in a heartbeat! It's a magical place.

Fabulous property — really tastefully done, with all the equipment we could have wished for. There were lots of really nice touches, including the delicious homemade bread and jam provided by the host. The house was incredibly comfortable. And what a location. The cliff path is just outside the front door. The village of Doolin is just down the road. The ferry to the Aran Islands is nearby. The scenery is spectacular. Sally was a terrific host. I can’t say enough good things about this property and this place! We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Just returned from a weeklong stay at Castleview House! Sally greeted us warmly and had the house stocked with essentials needed to get us started so we could rest up from our day long journey from the US. The house was absolutely GORGEOUS with beautiful scenery out every window. We are a huge hiking family so really enjoyed the fact that the Cliffs of Moher Walking Trail was right outside the gate. We walked it each day, sometimes 2-3 times a day. This property is close to local pubs, shops, grocery stores, and only a quick 1.5 hour drive to Galway. Highly recommend this beautiful property for a vacation of a lifetime! Thank you for everything, Sally!

This was our first time having Christmas away from either home or at family's, and it was fabulous. Sally was at the house to greet us and good not have been more helpful in managing our booking and stay. The house surpassed expectations and the surrounding area was breathtaking despite the December weather. We loved the walks, pubs and local hospitality. We highly recommend it for anyone thinking of doing the same.
