"I booked Upjohn House but was told I had to come to Henderson Castle to get the keys, and I should stay there instead. It was nice enough, the setting of Henderson Castle is beautiful.
I had a lovely French breakfast my first morning, but when I came down the second morning, no one was around, I was told breakfast was from 6:30-9:30, and I was downstairs at 7:00. So no breakfast the second day, I was really disappointed as I left the place.

"Honestly one of the worst hotel stays I’ve had in a long time. The amenities were really disappointing. The pool was filthy and the “fitness center” was basically just 2 old machines that barely worked. The room also was not clean at all. There were hairs in the bathtub, dirt by the entrance to the room, marks all over the sheets, and dust everywhere.
The whole hotel smelled strongly like paint the entire time we stayed there which was awful.

"Vibrant colors and comfortable lounge area with breakfast was nice. Free parking was excellent and easy to access.
Room was mostly clean but shampoo/conditioner had not been refilled before my stay and were not refilled on my cleaning day.
Staff were somewhat helpful but not as helpful as they could have been, especially regarding the snacks for purchase when they were not willing to point to something I was looking for even though I asked and instead let me find it myself."
